Sure Do Love You

Had a crazy busy week like most of you this week. Spending time doing some Cookie Decorating at a  Special Needs School here locally and a few other fun activities. I guess it's all part of the "Reason for the Season".
We have another Holiday fast approaching.....and that would be Valentines Day. Not that Im ever Johnny on the Spot and on time but I just had to cut into this Gorgeous new Designer Series Paper! I just had to. Normally I sit on it for a bit...okay I sit on it for a long time before I can cut it....but this pack just screamed to be cut.

This "Painted With Love Specialty Designer Paper will be available to you on January 3rd. Not too far off from now. You might want to keep it in mind for your wish list. The other papers are just as gorgeous with the gold gilding in it. So, so fabulous and chic', don't you think?
I paired it with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to make this card. Hope you like it.

Hot Daisy Delight

Hi Everyone,

I'm just getting to play with this new Daisy Delight Stamp Set from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog and I'm having a blast with it. 

Gotta say this set is a must have in my book!

You know me....I love using stamps to make my own fun backgrounds and couldn't resist using the Daisy stamp to make this one. It's one Hot Daisy, don't you think?

So not only do I like to create backgrounds...I love creating texture of different feels by sponging onto white. You can stay in the same color family that way and have the intensity you are looking for. The Tangerine Tango was sponged onto the white cardstock to create my colored mat on here. 

So much fun. What do you think? It's not just a flat color but one of texture and feels wonderful. Something about that ink on paper! lol

Touches of Texture in Sepia

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to share a fun technique with you today. It's the "Faux Sepia Technique". It's so fun and easy...you'll love it or at least I hope you will. lol

What a great technique using minimal supplies. Love when that happens and I don't have to pull out everything I own.

I'll be doing my Technique Class featuring this technique this month. I hope they enjoy it.

Cupcakes and Carousels

Hi Everyone!

So glad to share this fun card I did featuring the Cupcakes and Carousels Stamp Set with you. 

I love the Vintage feel of it and think I captured some whimsy too. Hope you like it.

  

So what do you think? I used the Designer Paper "Cupcakes and Carousel Designer Series Paper Pack" to add some striking color and lightness to the card. Love how the delicate Lace Trim added to the Vintage feel of it as well.

...and what about that gorgeous Doily? Did you know that they are white on one side and Vanilla on the other side? Swoon!!!

What I Love

What I Love...now that's a statement! lol 

I love a lot of things, don't you? I especially love my job and the friends I have made along the way because of it. With that said....please read my post from yesterday if you feel so inclined. It will tell you a  bit more or What I Love.

Today however "What I Love" is a Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! and I do love it. 

It's actually a three step stamp but you know me....I love to color. So I only used the one stamp line image and colored.

What do you think?

What I have found is it doesn't take a large image to make a statement. You can do it with small images or even parts of small images and work around it to make them pop!

I love this flower as it's so versatile. You can use the line image like I did or use the 2 step or 3 step images as well. So may wonderful possibilities. Pick a color or two  and go for it!

How To's

Measurement:

Card Base: Whisper White 5 ½ x 8 ½

DSP: 1 ½ x 5 ½

Daffodil Strip: ¼ x 5 ½

White Images Pieces: 1 ¼ x 1 ¼

Instructions:

1. Score and fold the card base.
2. Add the Black patterned DSP to the bottom
3. Add the Daffodil Strip to just above the DSP
4. Stamp Lined Flower Image from What I Love in Black Memento
5. Color with Rich Razzleberry Re-inker and Aqua Painter
6. Add the Stamped and colored squares to the card using Dimentionals
7. Stamp the “Thank You” in Black Memento
8. Add Gold Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers for a beautiful shimmer.

Birthday Blooms Stampin' Up! Occasions Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone,

I want to share a pretty card I did using the new Birthday Blooms Stamp Set from the new Occasions Catalog.

Here is my card….I hope you like it.

Did you ever wonder about Random Stampin? Well to me it’s not so random sometime and more of a pattern. Tips to remember….always start off the edge of the paper so it looks like it’s a continuation. Second try a spacing that you are comfortable with. Third…Stamp one line across and then stamp the second line below but in between, third lime back to the same as line one and so forth as seen below.  Hope that helps.

Another Thank You Meets I Think You’re Great!

Hi Everyone!

Time for some more WWYS Designs. Hope you’ll think about playing along this week. It’s so fun.

Here is my card featuring the Another Thank You Set.

This was my simple yet elegant card for my “Ice Cream Sundae” Sunday yesterday. That’s when all my favorite stamper friends come and see what’s new and get their new catalogs. So fun!! Nothing better than playing with new product and having Ice Cream, right?
Anyway….my card is featuring the “Another Thank You Set” and the “I Think You’re Great” Set from Stampin’ Up! I love the two combined. What do you think? I actually had all five new in colors out for everyone to choose. This one is one of my fav’s. Tip Top Taupe and Black. Simple and Elegant I think. Hope you like it.
Oh! I added one of the little In Color Blossom Accents  to the side of the thanks and colored some rhinestones black with a black sharpie to finish it off.

Christmas Stars and Stamping and Blogging

Just back from and incredible 5 days in St George Utah!! I was at the Founders Circle Retreat with Stampin' Up!s Top 100 Demonstrator's! What fun and what an honor!!!

I got back just in time to create this little card for the Stamping and Blogging Design Team...I hope you like it.

This card features The Star Framelits and the fabulous new Kraft Paper and Under The Tree Specialty Designer Paper. I Love, love, love this stuff!
Added to the card are Linen Thread for  the bow and a Brass Button just 'cause!!! I also added a gold mat behind the red specialty paper along with just a touch of Garden Green to make it officially Christmas! I used the saying from Festival of Trees to pop across the star and added a few rhinestones.

Jacksonville STARZ Blog Hop~Christmas Bauble & Blog Candy!

Hi Everyone,
I want to share some of my team with you today. I am thrilled that they are doing a little Blog Hop with me today. Make sure to leave a comment and say hello….some, if not all will be offering Blog Candy! Whoo Hoo!

I used the Christmas Bauble Stamp Set again. This time I mounted it on ovals.  The card is made with the largest of the ovals which is scalloped and the back one is scored along the left side and attached with glue dots. So it opens like a regular card. I painted in the leaves with my Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Blendies and attached a sweet little bow… made with my Magic Bow Maker of course! (available at the top of my blog). Pretty simple little card with a few little details. Like the little dots in each scallop. I did that with my Cherry Cobbler Marker.  I wanted the card to show the beauty of the silver Embossing with just a Pop of color.  I hope you like it!
