Sure Do Love You

Had a crazy busy week like most of you this week. Spending time doing some Cookie Decorating at a  Special Needs School here locally and a few other fun activities. I guess it's all part of the "Reason for the Season".
We have another Holiday fast approaching.....and that would be Valentines Day. Not that Im ever Johnny on the Spot and on time but I just had to cut into this Gorgeous new Designer Series Paper! I just had to. Normally I sit on it for a bit...okay I sit on it for a long time before I can cut it....but this pack just screamed to be cut.

This "Painted With Love Specialty Designer Paper will be available to you on January 3rd. Not too far off from now. You might want to keep it in mind for your wish list. The other papers are just as gorgeous with the gold gilding in it. So, so fabulous and chic', don't you think?
I paired it with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to make this card. Hope you like it.

Numbers of Years~Sketch Challenge for the Stampers Dozen

Welcome!!!

The Stamper Dozen had another Blog Tour for you. Sit back and enjoy!

This week we decided to do a Sketch Challenge....Love Sketch Challenges. 

I can't wait to show you this fun and pretty card made with the "Numbers of Years" Set & the Timeless Textures Set from Stampin' Up! Oh My....what a great combination. I think I'm in Love!!

This card was pretty easy peasy...just what I love....quick, easy and a WOW! Don't you?

So many different little things that happened here that make it fall together. Don't you love when that happens? I do. I love-love-love making background paper using stamps and this card is no exception for that. In fact I think it made it. I love this little swirly thing from Timeless Textures. I think it's a MUST HAVE! lol

Anyway the colors are Whisper white and Pear Pizzazz with a little touch of Perfect Plum. 

The Card base is cut to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2 and folded. 

The mat is cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and stamped randomly with the Swirly things from Timeless Treasures. 

I then cut a strip of Pear Pizzazz DSP from the Subtles Collection and cut the strip to 1 1/2 x 4 and used my Triple Banner Punch to flag it. 

My image piece is cut to2 1/2 x 3 and stamped with the Leaves from the Number of Years Set in Pear Pizzazz. 

I filled in with the darling little flower stamps in the set and stamped them in Perfect Plum. 

I felt it needed a little more POW! so I added a tiny strip of Perfect Plum on the left of the Image and a piece of our doilies.  Added a few Rhinestones to the mix in the center of the flowers and I'm done.

Peaceful Petals

Don’t you just love flower images? Especially at this time of year? I think it gives a feeling of hope for a beautiful spring and a bit of warmth in the air. I just love doing flower cards….especially in winter.

Today I’d like to share a card I did for an “Over the Top Swap” at Leadership. Maybe not so over the top but I like the way it opens and hope everyone else does too. What do you think?

Measurement:

Scraps for two Very Vanilla Hearts

Instructions:

1. Color the Stem and Flower using Pear Pizzazz and Melon Mambo Markers #
2. Stamp Sentiment (all but the flower and stem) in Black Stazon
3. Huff and Stamp
4. Run stamped saying through the Big Shot using the Hearts Collection Framelit #4 from the outside
5. Cut out Very Vanilla Heart # 3 from outside
6. Cut Pink Pirouette Heart #2
7. Emboss the Very Vanilla Mat cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 with the Stripped Embossing Folder attach to black card base
8. Attach Paper Doily with adhesive
9. Attach Embossed Pink Heart with Adhesive
10. Attach Embossed Very Vanilla Heart with Dimensionals
11. Attach the last Heart with the saying with Dimensionals
12. Stamp and cut out Eiffel Tower and attach with Dimensionals (stamp with Black Stazon)
13. Color in the Heart on the tower with a Pink Pirouette Marker
14. Make a small bow and attach with glue dot or dimensional

Do you believe in Miracles? and a card share

Hi Everyone,

First a card share which is a partial case from the Catalog using the Winter Memories Set…..love the old time nostalgia of this set.

Now…….

Sorry I’ve been away so awfully long. My Mother in Law has been ill with Alzheimer’s for many, many years and she passed away on August 23rd. We were with her for almost 11 days around the clock and just reminisced and listened to soft music of her liking and reassured her. She was 96 years old and so strong in her convictions and faith. I admired her for so many reasons and felt it a privilege to be by her side.

You know…her favorite plant was the Orchid…..her home, when she lived in Fort Lauderdale was full of them inside and out. It was like a tropical garden. I only wished I could have the green thumb she did. I don’t, as I’ve tried over the years and decided it just wasn’t my niche and I’d just admire others who had the gift. Well ya know…I’ve got this Orchid about two years ago and when we left for Fort Lauderdale it was kind of shriveled up not looking too good…..it had only bloomed once in the last two years and I was in awe and touched the beautiful blossoms (three)and they immediately fell off…..talk about not having a green thumb huh? hehe

Well when we got home from out trip I stepped onto my Lanai and there was my Orchid Plant in Bloom! My very first thought was “Thank You Mamma for giving me this gift”. I know it was her…..she wanted to thank Darrell and myself for taking good care of her and giving her a beautiful Service. I just know it. Did you notice there are two blooms? One for me and one for her son (my hubby) Darrell.

This plant has not bloomed in two years and funny it did the day we got home…..I do believe in Miracles!!! Do you?

Lace Ribbon Border Card~Check it out!!

Can you say easy??? Holy Moly I am loving this new punch from Stampin’ Up! It will be in the new Idea Book and Catalog coming out July 1st!! Can I just say it’s a must have!!!Look what I just did with it in about 5 minutes…..

 

I wanted to use this Beautiful Lace Ribbon Border on my card….I didn’t realize it would be my card. It’s simple, it’s fast and I think it’s beautiful. Wonderful for any occasion and easy-peasy to do. I just added some pearls and made a Double Bow using my Magic Bow Maker available on the right side of my blog. It makes bow making so easy you won’t believe it.

Sail Away~Happy Father’s Day!!

Happy Father’s Day to all you special Father’s out there today. Yes there are some that follow my blog. Even some stamper’s!! Isn’t that wonderful?

I made this card for my Husband early this morning …don't know if you can tell but it has the world stamped behind the vellum image. If I could give him something special it would be a trip around the world…but of course I can’t so this card will have to suffice for now! hehe

I stamped the image on cardstock Vellum and flipped it over after drying. Then I took my stylus and rubbed it across the sales which give it a weathered white look. Very pretty in person. I mounted that on Baja after stamping my world in Basic Gray. I stamped the background stamp from Best Dad Ever on the card base of Basic Gray to give a feel of texture. I then punched some holes in the side of the baja and vellum to hold together and threaded some white baker’s twine through. I really wanted to tie some nautical knots on there but he caught me in the process of making this and they just didn’t happen.

Wishing my Hubby and Son Chad a very Happy Father’s Day and the same to all the other wonderful Dad’s out there.

Just a little share we will be doing at my next event here in Jacksonville, Florida to help the Second Harvest Food Bank. If you’re in the area and would like to attend contact me and I’ll give you more details. Not sure if you know but the hungriest time of the year for the food bank is NOW!! Kids are home from school and therefore they need more food. No free school lunches for them. So I’ve pulled together my team and we’re going to feed some kids this summer.

This is the card that my downline Mikki will be doing. Not sure where the inspiration came from but we changed it up just a tad from a square to a regular size card and added the bow. I’d love to give credit for the original…please let me know if you are out there. It showcases the retiring Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set Great Friend. Here is a little share using the Touch of Kindness Set from the new Summer Mini. It’s really cute and I have someone in mind for this set. My Granddaughter is going to love it!! Kayla love Kitty’s and is going to love this when I send it to her. Shhhhhh….don't’ tell! hehe

Isn’t this set too cute? I just love the whimsey of it. Fun and fast and so easy to color. It’s just a very simple note card for you know who!!!

Santa wanted me to sit on his lap…hope I didn’t hurt him.  He was a GREAT Santa!!

We went up the mountain to the top in Ketchikan…in a cable car.

Kind of steep….YIKES!!!

   

When the door opened at the top this is what or who greeted us.

They exclaimed there were visiting from Thailand and were the sweetest people and broke into song for us. How fun!!!

Time to eave port and head on out ….

I awoke the next morning (4am) and started seeing these things in the water…..I wasn’t sure what they were…..and then….they got bigger…..and bigger

    

Yep you guessed it….little icebergs….we were approaching our next destination to see the glaciers and what a sight they were.

Oh My gosh!!!! Can you see and feel the Beauty of this magnificent Glacier?

Peaceful Season

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick share of a card I did for a sketch I found….

…….and here is my card using lots of what we got at convention.

I of course used Cherry Cobbler for the base of the card and then a mat of Chocolate Chip. Then the Exquisite Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper and then my Image or sentiment….I’m actually using the same set and DSP later for the 411 Challenge so make sure to come back. The three little blocks on the side are covered with Holly leaves I cut our of the DSP (yes I cut those suckers out) and added a strip of Glass Glitter using Crystal Effects. That added lots of sparkle and I like sparkle! Thos of you that know me know that!!

Anyway I’m late getting started today….had an early morning appointment…

Stamping With My Girls Today!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share a few cards I made this morning that I will be doing with my Pace Girls today. The Pace Center for Girls is a school for Girls at Risk. I go over there once a month and teach them how to stamp. You may recall I did a Benefit with some of my downline to Build them a Stampin’ Corner in their school. They are really enjoying it.

So here is what we will be doing today.

They are quick and simple cards and I think they will like them. The Wow Flower set I found on my shelf this morning so will donate it to the school as they write (or are begining to) Thank You Cards.

So that is my little share for today. I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a few days. I’ve had workshops all weekend. Nothing like Partying all the time. If you’d like to become a Demonstrator and Party all the time just let me know…..I’d love to have you on my team!!

Stampin’ UP! Scenic Season and Bow Maker Samples

HI Everyone,

I thought I would share a couple of cards (make sure to scroll down) that were sent to me that are using my Magic Bow Maker available on my Side Bar.

I’d like to start with one I’m doing for a Workshop I’m doing on Tuesday.  I am featuring the Scenic Season Stamp Set again….one of my favorites. I simply embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder and added some of our new Rhinestones to the tops of the tree’s. I also added a special little white satin bow to the left side. I wrapped it under the mat on the left and trimmed the right side to show how delicate it is and to give it an end. I love the way this came out…..simple and elegant. I hope my girls like it Tuesday.
