Serene Silhouettes~BRRRRR and a Tutorial

This weekend I will be doing another of my Charity Events here in Jacksonville, Fl. This one will be for the Alzheimer’s Assoc. This is in honor of my Mother In Law that passed away in July and for my two sister’s in law that have been stricken as well. It’s a dreadful disease and we should do what we can to help.

Here is the card I designed for the event. Simple, Elegant and I hope a “wow” that everyone will like. Below is a little tutorial for you to follow if you would like to give it a try. It surely looks like a mess when you start and evolves into something so beautiful. Even my Hubby said….”Wow”!!! It looks so cold there!!! Notice the little snow on the drifts…use your 2-way glue and some Dazzling Diamonds to make it glisten.

You will need your image piece and two strips of copy paper, circle punch, sponges, post it notes and 2-way glue pen. Punch circle with the sticky part on it.

Appy a line of 2-way glue to the curved line all the way across and to the straight piece all the way across. Let dry. Line up your image piece onto your grid paper and lay the strips over as shown. Make sure to put your circle piece on too for your Moon.

Using your Marina Mist Pad pick up some ink onto a sponge and in a circular motion apply to the open areas as seen above. Using another sponge apply Night of Navy ink on top of the Marina Mist….leaving a bit lighter …darker on the sides and edges

Remove the bottom piece to reveal your first curve of sky…now for the snow. Attach the same piece of copy paper at a different angel to form a snow drift and just (in a circular motion) add a bit of Marina Mist just to the edge of the copy paper.

Remove the copy paper again to reveal the first snow drift. Now angle your copy paper again and sponge with more Marina Mist…..lightly and just beyond the edges of the copy paper.

The last line will be a straight line…..add the Marina Mist once again only sponging the edges nearest the copy paper.

Ink up your stamp with Black Stazon…..

Remove the circle (moon) and with the copy paper still in place stamp the image getting just a branch into the moon.

Voila!!!

Now add a bit of glitter to the drifts and use dimensionals to attach to your white card base and your done.
