Stamping 411 Sketch # 207

Hi Everyone,

It seems I’ve been gone forever from posting as I pre-posted while on cruise and a few weeks after. But now I’m back and hopefully got a little mojo back!!

I hope you will play along with us this week. It’s a very simple sketch and one that will make card making very easy.

Here is the sketch…

…and my interpretation.

I am so loving what will be one of the new In-Colors for the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog. It’s called Coral Calipso! OMG!!! I am so in love with this color. It’s just smokin’ hot!!!!Sketch 208 003_thumb[10]

I’ve done a little something different here and will do a Tutorial on it real soon…here and on the Stamping 411 Blog for “HOW To” Wednesday on the 15th  so make sure to visit.

I know you probably thing these are done with an aqua painter and re-inker but your are wrong…..I came up with an idea and tried it and love it. I hope you will too but mums’ the word for right now.

Sketch 208 007_thumb[3] Check out the sparkle!!!

I will tell you that I embossed the flowers with Black embossing Powder and cute them out and that the set I used is the new set Flower Florets from the MINI…..

The Base of the card is Coral Calipso and is cut to 8 1/2 x 11 and folded. The Black mat is cut to 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 and the Whisper White Mat that is Embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder is 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.

The Black Satin Ribbon is applied with Red Sticky Tape and pleated and the cut flowers are applied with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you’ll come back soon.

This is so lovely. The term 'clean and simple' should be changed to 'clean and stunning'.

I haven't used my black embossing powder like this for a very long time - I just love the effect because the images pop so well. Can't wait to see the tutorial because your flowers are beautiful!
