Bookmark Card

Hi Everyone,

I’ve got this cute little card I’ll be doing at one of my workshops tomorrow. I have one in the morning and one in the evening….going to be a busy day!!!

I got his idea from my Stamping friend Rose Marie Diehl, she is so talented and came to my rescue when I needed book mark ideas. Well I should say she was on of many who came to my rescue. That’s the beauty of the Stamping Sisterhood…..ask and ye shall receive ideas!!!! I just changed it up a bit…..with a different trim and pearls and decided to make it an initial bookmark just perfect for any recipient with the change of a letter.

  selene meeting and card 022

Here it is with the magnetic bookmark removed….

Stamping 411 Sketch 179

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I know I did.

I hope you’ll play along with us this week over ont he Stamping 411 Blog. I just know you’ll  want to see what the Operators are up to.

Here is the sketch….

SSC179

….and what I’ve done with it…..

Sketch 179

Can you tell I’ve used Christmas DSP on this card?? Well I did. It’s the Jolly Holiday DSP….isn’t it pretty paired with Cherry Cobbler?

The base of the card is 5 1/2 x 8 12, matted with Cherry Cobbler 4 x 5 1/4, The DSP is cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. Before I assembled I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1 x 4 and used my Scallop border Punch on it. Then attached my Vanilla piece which is 7/8 x 4. Then Tied my fabulous Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon in a Double Bow and attached to the back before I put the mat down.

The image pieces are 1 x 2 1/2 and done using the Herb Expressions set and colored with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Markers. I then blended the color just a tad with my aqua painter….I then matted onto the Cherry Cobble Mat that are cut to 1 1/8 x 2 5/8.

I did pop everything up on dimesnionals…..so what do you think of my Christmas Lavender???

Thanks for stopping in…..

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge 178

Hi Everyone and welcome to another Stamping 411 sketch challenge. As soon as I saw this sketch I remembered something I saw in our great Stampin Up! Catalog and wanted to incorporate it into this sketch.

I used Baja Breeze Cardstock and Pear Pazzazz for the Mats along with just a bit of Very Vanilla.

Sketch 175 009

I’ve punched the flower shapes with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack…how fun huh?

I used Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and River Rock for the flowers. The Poly Twill Ribbon is also done with the Pear Pizzazz and tied on my bow maker.

The Mat sizes are as follows: card 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 in Baja, Mat in Pazzazz 4 x 5 1/4, Baja Dotted mat 3-7/8 x 5- 1/8 and then the small mats are 2x2 in Pear Pazzazz, 1-7/8 x 1 7/8 in Baja, 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 in Pear Pazzazz and 1 5/8x 1 5/8 in VV and another in 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 in very vanilla that the flowers are on. I attached the flowers with tiny cut pieces of Dimensionals and added a tiny flat pear to the center.  Thanks You is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and stamped with Baja for a tone on tone effect.

I hope you had fun looking but also hope you will check out the stamping 411 site to see what everyone else has done……we’ve got some awesome talent there in the other operators as well as the fabulous talent that plays along. Hope you join in the fun!!!

Sense of Time Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

I was up late, late last night making this special Birthday card for a customer of mine. She asked if I would make a Birthday Card for a Gentleman that will be 101 years young!!! She sent me what she wanted inside the card as far as wording so I started with that.

I decided The Sense of Time Stamp Set would be perfect for the occasion. Who better to have a Sense of time, huh?

Here is what I came up with. I decided to use Always Artichoke and Brushed Gold. I embossed the image and cut out….lightly sponged some Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke over the clock face. I embossed the flourish from Baroque Motif on the background mat and sponged the edges to give it a vintage look. I then did the small clock part again and popped it up with Dimensionals. I hope he likes it.

Sense of Time 005 Sense of Time 003

Well I’m off to my Civitan Meeting today. So I’d better run…..

Stamping 411 Sketch 177

Hi Everyone,

You guessed it….time for another sketch challenge from Stamping 411 I hope you will take some time for yourself and play along with us this week.

Here is the sketch……………..

SSC177

…and my interpretation…..

Come To Bethlehem and 411 Sketch and Box Template 004

Funny this whole card was geared around this little scrap of DSP sitting on my desk.  It’s one of the patterns in the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. the bottom images is from the stamp set Vintage Vogue and stamped in Early Espresso. I did color in a few of the images….

I embossed an extra piece of very vanilla with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to attach to the card. I assembled the card and decided it needed a bit of Cajun Craze and to really mix it up add some of our Chantilly Lace Ribbon. Kind of funky and lots of different textures and patterns….

It reminded me of an old German Restaurant we used to go to years ago….all these colors and Chantilly Lace. Little bit of Nostalgia there….

The measurements for the card are:

Card Base in Early Espresso 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 , Cajun Craze Mat 4 x 5 1/4 , Vanilla Mat 3-7/8 x 5 1/8, Ealry Espresso strip 1 x 5 1/8, DSP 7/8 x 5 1/8, I added the testured piece to it and it is 2 1/2 x 3 7/8. The image piece is2 1/4 x 3 and the mat for that is 2 3/8 x 3 1/8.

I stamped the image in Early Espresso and colored with my Blender Pen and Watercolor Pencils. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Come to Bethlehem

Hi Everyone,

I want to share a card I did last night for my workshop yesterday. The Hostess wanted to do something with this set and I was happy to oblige. I didn’t have the set….had to borrow it but this is what I’ve come up with…

Come To Bethlehem and 411 Sketch and Box Template 002_thumb[10]

The Card base is Crumb Cake and so is the Textured Mat….it was done with the Vintage Wallpaper  Embossing Folder and brayered with Crumb Cake to give a tone on tone feel. The oval was cut with the Scallop Oval Die on the Big Shot and I used Whisper White Card Stock.

I brayered the sky with Not quite Navy and then sponged on Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Black on the bottom and Edges. I added stars in the distance with my White Gel Pen to make it pop  a little. The Oval was then adhered to the Mat with Dimensionals.

That’s it! Easy Peasy Card and perfect for a Workshop Wow! Wouldn’t you like to do this card at your workshop….even if you’re long distance? Ask me how? I do workshops in a box for my long distance Customers. I’d love to do one with you.

Thanks for stopping in……..

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I’d like to share my interpretation of the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge this week. As you know (or maybe you don’t) I’ve been one of the Operators there for over a year now or since we started the group…or should I say Selene started the group. She hand selected us for may different reasons so that we could offer you a huge variety of stamping styles. I think Selene accomplished her goal in doing that. This wonderful group of talented women have been a pleasure to work with and have taught me so much. They are the best…so I hope you will visit the Stamping 411 blog and see they’re style.

Here is the sketch that we all had to work with this week…

SSC176

…and my card…..

sketch 176 060

I wanted this card to be serene and cool. So I choose to use the gorgeous Pear Pazazz Color along with white….Pretty cool huh? The only other hit of color is the red bird.

Cardstock sizes are Card Base White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, White Mat 3 3/4 x 5, Pear Pazazz Mat is 3x 4 and the image piece is 2 -7/8 x 3 -7/8. I added the Pear Pazazz Poly Twill Ribbon which matches perfectly and some glitter to the snow. I then decided to cut out three snowflakes using the Merry Details Sizzlet and attach them with dimensionals and then glitter them up.

Tip: I always glitter last to avoid losing some of the glitter and to keep myself from being totally glittered. My husband just laughs when he sees me. He ALWAYS knows when I’ve been stamping!!!

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you’ll play along with us this week.
