Faux Linen Technique and Blog Candy

Good Morning Everyone!

I’m very excited this morning to see that my Blog Counter has gone over 150,000!!! That’s so awesome. Thanks you all that visit with me and keep me going with all of you wonderful comments and support.

So I am offering “Blog Candy” to celebrate my 150,000 Mark. Leave a comment to day and you could be the lucky winner of one of my  “Magic Bow Maker”!!! I will not only send you the Magic Bow Maker but also the Bow seen below and a full picture color tutorial. So leave a comment today and tomorrow morning I will announce the winner. I will use random.org to select the winner.

Let me just say this little gadget is fabulous and if you don’t win you may want to check out my sidebar to see how you can get your very own. Good Luck!!!

Now I’d like to  show you the second card I did in my three Technique Classes yesterday featuring the Faux Linen Technique. This card uses the En Francais Background Set and the Friends 24/7 Set. I think it made for a beautiful combination. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Faux Linen Technique Cards 001

Faux Linen

Sand Glossy Cardstock by dragging a Sanding Block first one way on you cardstock and then the other way to create etches in the cardstock. Then you will sponge some color on. First color will lightly cover the entire are and then add dabs of two other colors in some of the areas. I suppose you don’t have to use 3 colors I just happen to like it that way. If it’s too dark you can soften by sanding again to get a soft beautiful finish.

I so appreciate each and everyone of you that visits and hope that you have a wonderful week.

Thanks again for everything!!!….now go out and have a …./

Stampinglee Good Day!

I can see why your blog reached the milestone of 150K hits. You have so much talent and so willingly share your inspiration with us. Saw your bow maker not only on your blog but on another one who was thrilled with using her new tool. Looks like it makes awesome bows, and I could definitely use help in that category. Would love to see how it actually works. Congratulations! (Sure hope I have the lucky random # as I'd be thrilled to win.) Thanks!

Being able to attend your classes and know you personally is a HUGE blessing in my life! And on top of all that, we get to make the most gorgeous cards too! Loved learning the Faux Linen technique - it is so beautiful and even more so in person! And I'm not sure how I ever made bows before my Magic Bowmaker - the winner will be very fortunate indeed! For those who don't win, it is DEFINITELY worth the small price, so treat yourself!
Love you Lee! Amy
ps-Congrats on the 150,000 hits! Way to go!
