Postage Due for Stamping and Blogging

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for another Sketch Challenge from Stamping and Blogging. I love the sketches that Sandi comes up with. Sometimes challenging for me but that’s alight. 90% of the time I’m amazed at the results, not just mine but everyone!! lol

Here is the sketch

Anyway I do love how this one came out! I guess because it’s Black and Vanilla with a splash of color. Love that! Like y’all didn’t know that about me. hahaha

This card features the Postage Due Stamp Set….so easy to work with. I love that all of the above is in one set. Except for the little strip of dsp at the bottom.

I colored in the flower with my Perfect Plum Marker and  because the image has a lot of black in it it almost looks like it’s shaded but not. Love that I didn’t have to work hard at that effect.

Dimensions are:

  • Very Vanilla 4 1/4 x 11
  • Black Card Stock 4 x 5 1/4 for the mat
  • Vanilla Image piece 3 x 3 3/4
  • strip of DSP is 3/4 x 3 3/4
  • Scrap of Vanilla to stamp the stamps on

Directions:

  • Stamp the image onto the 3 3/4 vanilla piece
  • Color in the flower with any color you desire
  • Attach the black mat to the card front
  • Stamp the stamps on the scrap of vanilla and punch out.
  • Add the stamp first to the black card mat
  • then the image
  • then the strip of dsp

Hi There!

Welcome to another Fun Wednesday with the Stamping and Blogging Design Team. I love it when we can gather weekly (Internationally no less)  and inspire each other. So fun to have one sketch and so many interpretations….
Here is my card….

I used a variety of Stamp Sets on this fun little card. The “Hi There” Stamp Set for the Sentiment, the “Work of Art” for the left panel(I just kept stamping and making my own designer paper with the zigzag pattern), love that you can do that so easily! I used the Gorgeous Grunge for the bit of Grunge under the Flower and Beautiful Bunch for the Flower.
I had a lot of fun creating this…wasn’t sure if I wanted to do pink or yellow but loved the yellow…hope you do too.

Little Buddy Birthday~Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone!

Hope you’re having a great day! I know I am! I am in Salt Lake City for the Stampin’ Up! Convention. I’m with some of my downline and we’re having a blast! Hope to share some pictures with you tomorrow.

In the meantime I’d like to share a cute little card that I did for the Stamping and Blogging Sketch Challenge. Here it is…..

The base of the card is done in:

  • Basic Black and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
  • Black Polka Dot Mat is cut to 4 x 5 1/4
  • Back To Black Designer Paper is cut to 1 1/2 x 5 1/4
  • Red for the circle is cut to 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
  • White image circle piece is 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
  • White saying piece is 2 x 2

I’ve used some of the fun and fabulous Daffodil Delight 1/4” Cotton Ribbon. #love!

Don’t you just love the little Brights Candy Dots on this. It matches the Toucan's Beak!!

I colored the Toucan in with my Stampin’ Up! Markers. I think it came out really cute. I hope you like it.

Age Awareness~Stamping&Blogging

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a fantastic day so far. I know I am.

I hope you enjoy my fun creation today…..it”s made with the new Photopolymer Stamps from “Age Awareness” and with the Dotty Angles set aw well.

Wouldn’t this be perfect for some little girl? I love pink and yellow and just a touch of black to make it all pop. The white mat is stamped with Melon Mambo on the bottom and then I flipped the mat and stamped the top with Daffodil Delight.

I think the New 1/4” Cotton Ribbon is to die for and ties up so easily to  make the cute little bows. I used the matching Melon Mambo and then just s strip of the Daffodil Delight for the center.

The Happy Birthday was stamped in Black Memento Ink and then cut using the Ovals Framelit. I dotted the edges with the fine tip of my black Marker.

I inked up the Balloon in Melon Mambo and did the string with the marker and cut it out..then added to the oval to the stamped mat with Dimensionals.

Stamping and Blogging~World of Dreams

Hi Everyone!

So happy you’re here. I’ve got a cute little card I did with the fun “World of Dreams” Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!

This came together pretty quickly as I had an idea of what I would do. I knew I wanted to use this image but wanted to color it instead of use it as a Silhouette. I think it came out delicate…don’t you? I sponged just a tad of Marina Mist on the background of the image piece then took to Marker Coloring directly onto the stamp. Make sure to huff (heavy breathing) onto the stamp to remoisten the image as it dries when you are changing colors.

I frayed some of our Burlap Ribbon on the sides and thought to make the knot with the strings left over. I think it kind of reminds me of straw a bird might collect for his or her nest. lol….guess I was in my own little world today of make believe. haha

Stamping and Blogging~What’s Up!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back! We’ve got another great sketch from Sandi this week. Well really it was a challenge for me (and that’s a good thing). Made me come out of that little box I live in! lol

Actually I had this card in my mind the minute I looked at this sketch…..but….I did not listen to me!!! So I tried different things and ended up with my original “Out of the Box” idea from me!! haha

So then I had to execute the idea….that was easy….then I looked at Sandi’s sketch and tried to do those triangle’s…seems I was having a blonde moment as that didn’t come easy! Thanks for the Brain Exercise Sandi!!

So glad I can laugh at myself and my “Duh” Moments. I decided to make  “Faux” Triangles….just lay the strip down over the dsp and cardstock and Voila!!! hehe

Note to me:…listen to me!!! lol

Welcome back! It’s been so busy this past week….so much in fact I barely got this card done. I had a great “Ice Cream Sundae” Sunday at my house on Sunday to kick off the New Catalog! It was tons of fun as you can see. Shopping, Stamping and Ice Cream! Doesn’t get better than that! lol

Stamping and Blogging Sketch 57 Mixed Bunch…

Hi Everyone,
Here we go again!! Time for another fun challenge from Stamping and Blogging. I love the simplicity of this sketch and knew it would be a snap to put together with some of my key colors…I hope you like it!
I love White and Black and added a splash of color with Crisp Canteloupe! So Crisp, don’t you think. I love the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper I’ve chosen as well to keep in with the simple lines of this card.

Dimensions:
  • Whisper White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
  • Basic Black Card Stock cut to 3 3/4 x 5
  • Crisp Cantaloupe cut to 3 x 4 1/4
  • DSP cut to 2 3/4 x 4
  • Scraps of Whisper White and Black for the sentiment and the flower.

Easy Peasy card that went together in minutes…tape all your layers together and then stamp two flowers using black Stazon. Punch out one and cut the circle from the other. Color in the flower petals with a Daffodil Delight Marker. Add the Flower Center with Dimensional and add the flower to the card with another dimensional. Like I said…easy peasy!!!!
