Herb Expressions Sketch Challenge Card

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to my blog and to another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. I hope you will hop on over there Saturday Moring to see what my Sister Operators are doing. They are awesome and some of the BEST talent in the Industry. They are my inspiration!!! ….and a big thanks and hug to Selene a=our Sketch Master for another awesome sketch…..she’s amazing.

Without further ado…..here is the sketch:

ssc150 (2)

….and my interpretation……

Herb expressions and Butterfly Boxes 003For this card I am showcasing the Herb Expressions Set and just love what you can accomplish with two markers and so little effort. I inked up the marker several times with my Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive Markers….huffed on the stamp after inking up to re-moisten and stamp….I stamped again in a few places brining in some lighter images. (For those of you that don’t know what Huffing is it’s a little heavy breathing onto your stamp which re-moistens the ink for you. )

This card was so easy peasy…..yesterday I was swamped with a project and was having trouble deciding what to do with this sketch but then it came to me last night. It went together like a dream.

The measurements are:

Card Base: 5 1/4 x 10 1/2 folded in half

Elegant Eggplant Mat: 3 1/2 x 4

Old Olive Mat: 2 1/2 x 3 3/4

Image Piece: 2 3/8 x 3 5/8

I added some of our gorgeous satin Ribbon in Old Olive and used the little saying from Enjoy Every Moment. I added a few dots with my marker before the saying. the three little circles are done using my 1/4 “ circle punch and adhered with glue dots. I hope Stampin’ Up! brings this little punch back….I miss it and love using it.

Well thanks again for stopping by and hope to see you back real soon……or maybe on over at the Stamping 411 blog to see what you come up with for the challenge.

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!!!

Lee, Thanks for popping in and commenting on my card. When I saw your card for the challenge, I immediately thought the flowers looked like my beloved Texas bluebonnets. Just gorgeous!
