“Z” Fold Card and Tutorial

Hi Everyone,
I’d like to share a little Tutorial with you today. It’s for a “Z” Fold Card. So easy you’re going to love it!!!
Z Fold Card 036
Isn’t it cute??? I just love how fresh and Summery it is!
Want to learn how to make this??? Just follow these few simple steps.
Z Fold Card 017 assemble all your goodies you want to use including your Simply Scored.
Cardstock Sizes are:
  • Card Base 4 1/4 x 9 3/4 and scored at 2 3/4 x 5 1/2
  • Green Mat is cute to 2 5/8 x 3 7/8
  • DSP cut to 2 1/2 x 3 7/8 using the Summer Smooches
  • Square Scallop Die Cut in Red
  • Image piece in White cut to 2 5/8 x 2 5/8
  • White and Green Card Stock for Daisy Die
Z Fold Card 018
score card base at 2 3/4 x 5 1/2
Z Fold Card 019
It should fold like this…..
Z Fold Card 020
Separate out  your Daisies and use your two-way Glue Pen to glue to each other making a cluster and let dry.
Z Fold Card 022 Z Fold Card 023
Z Fold Card 024
Stamp Sentiment on your small white square and mat with the red scallop.
Z Fold Card 025
Using your Cropodile punch a small hole to accommodate the cute little Summer Smooches Brad that will sit in the center of your Daisy and then it will attach to the Red Scallop……like this.
Z Fold Card 027
Z Fold Card 028
The back will look like this. The beauty of this is that it won’t get top heavy as it is attached to the mat rather than just sitting there attached with a glue dot.
Z Fold Card 031
Next you will add a few dimensionals to the back so you can attach to the card. Don’t add them to the side that will open as you don’t want to stick that part down.
Z Fold Card 030
Attach Designer Paper and Mat to the front of the card.
Z Fold Card 032
Assemble and see what you can do with any scraps that are left.
Z Fold Card 036
See where I added it and then some bling???
Hope you enjoyed this quick little Tutorial and will give it a try. This was fun!!!!

Envelope Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone,
This is going to be a blast from the past for you.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 013
Remember the Gift Card Holders that we did with Envelopes? I just remembered it today while helping my downline and decided to share it with you
First you will need any envelope, a Crimper, Ribbon, Cutter, Ink , Punch and stamps of choice.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 001
Then you will seal your envelope….

Next place your sealed Envelope in your cutter and cut at the two inch mark.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 004
I decided to punch the ends of the top piece….with my Scalloped Edge Punch.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 005
Now take the larger part of the sealed envelope and run it through your crimper….lines will be going straight up and down when set up right.
Envelope Gift Card Holder 007
This is what you will be working with for your Envelope Gift Card Holder…..The top fits nicely over the bottom now. See…

I then took a Snowflake stamp and stamped it on the top with Crumb Cake Ink and sponged Crumb Cake on the Scallops to better define the edges against the bottom.

I cut a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock to place my Gift Card on…..then I attached a punched piece from our Tab Punch so that the card could be removed easily!
Envelope Gift Card Holder 013
Here is my Decorated and finished Gift Card Holder…I had this extra Snowman sitting on my desk I had done a few days ago…why not right? I attached him to one of the scallops from the Pennant Die and a little Crumb Cake Seam Binding and I’m done.
I hope you’ll give this “Blast from the Past” a try. I had forgotten how fun these were to make.
Have a great Day!

Fabulous Florets and My Spray Painting Technique

Hi Everyone,

I’ve got a great little technique I came up with last week that I want to share with you.

Here is another card using this technique…..I did one a few days ago remember?Spray Painting 037

Isn’t it pretty? I hope you like it.

Here is how I did it….and these are some of the supplies you will need. Alcohol, Re-inkers (I’ve used Calypso Coral and So Saffron). Black Embossing
Powder, Powder Pal, Embossing Buddy, Versamark, Black Embossing Powder, Heat Tool,Champagne Shimmer Paint and Mister Bottles. You might want to add lots of Paper Towels as this gets messy.

Spray Painting 001 Here are your supplies

Spray Painting 002 Rub over Whisper White Cardstock with your Embossing Buddy to prevent specks of Embossing Powder from Sticking to where you don’t want it.

Spray Painting 003 Stamp Images with Versamark

Spray Painting 007 Pour Embossing Powder over your Powder Pal and gently shake excess off.

Spray Painting 008 You know what…do a lot at one time and have extras on hand to create fast and beautiful cards later.

Spray Painting 011 Heat set with your Stampin’ Up! Heat Tool

Spray Painting 012 Now comes the fun!!! Take your Alcohol and your Re-inkers and Shimmer Paint and Misters and get ready to get messy and have fun!

Spray Painting 013 Fill your bottle about 3/4 full with alcohol.

Spray Painting 014 Then add Re-inker Drops. I think I did about 12 and it wasn’t dark enough so I did a few more. You can adjust to your liking.

Spray Painting 015 Next add a little Shimmer Paint simply by taking the wand from the Mister and dipping into the shimmer paint about three times or to your liking. Put top back on Mister and gently shake…..

Spray Painting 023 I sprayed onto my grid paper and then thought….Duh!! Where are my paper towels. I did see the beginning of something beautiful though! hehe!

Spray Painting 024 Take your sheet of embossed flowers and start lightly spraying to where you’d like the different colors. I started with the saffron Spray Paint.

Spray Painting 026 Then the Calypso Coral….you can go back and make it more intense or do a little of each on every flower.

Spray Painting 030 Then I took it one step further and wanted to create some background paper with this technique. So I lightly sprayed some of both colors on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and let dry. Oh yes even though it’s alcohol… you do wet the paper and have to let it dry for a few.

Spray Painting 032 While that was drying I started to cut some flowers out.

Spray Painting 033 ….these are what is left for another card later!!

Spray Painting 034 I decided to do a little crimping to enhance the beauty of the paper and flowers. I’ll cover that next time.

Spray Painting 037 …and here is the assembled card using So Saffron for the base and I love using a Mat of Black to make the whole thing POP!!

The Black Satin Double Bow was made using my Magic Bow Maker to get just the right look!

If you would like to order any supplies to make this card just contact me or visit my online store.

I hope you enjoyed this Tutorial!! Back to the Drawing Board for more fun things to share!! See you next time!!
