Guns and Roses Flower Box & a Chance to Win a Free Tutorial!! Metal and Roses Get it?

Want to win this Pretty Flower Tutorial and have it sent right to your inbox? Just leave a comment and I will let random.org select a winner Thursday morning. Can’t wait? You can purchase it on my right sidebar.

So what do you think should go into this Luxurious little box I made this morning? I think Jewelry but what do you think? It measures 3 1/4 square and just the right size to house a little necklace or bracelet. I think I’m going to make some of these for a craft fair I’ll be doing soon.   Metal Box 003

Can you tell I’ve used some sanded metal on here. I love this stuff…so easy to work with and so impressive. You can purchase the metal sheets from Monica Weaver over at Add a Little Dazzle. Can you believe I used  scraps from other projects to make this? My point…..don’t throw these scraps away, they are capable of creating wonderful things!!!!

I decided to add the Houndstooth Embossing Folder to add some richness to this box. Wasn’t sure how I liked the more masculine texture with the delicate flower but I do. By the way I got the template from my friend Sandi MacIver…well she actually gave me a beautiful box at convention and it was just the right size so I used the inside of the box for this template. Thanks Sandi!

I love this box, and I think the embossing goes well with the flower, also. I would love to have the tutorial to make some myself. I do have one question with the use of the metal..... is this real metal? And would that not make for sharp edges? Thanks much, Karyn

Hi, I'm Lee Conrey! said...

For those of you that asked. It is real metal and easy to cut with your cutter and edges are not real sharp. It's fabulous!
