Hi Everyone,
Time for another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411
I am at Leadership Conference in Nashville right now so I had to per-post this but hope you will still play along while I hang out with the Operators in Nashville. Whoo Hoo!
Here is the sketch ….
…and my interpretation……I know….lots of color this time. It’s a miracle, huh? My Husband Collects Lighthouses and his favorite is a red one he has …..sooooooo….had to go Red
The Card Base is Riding Hood Red and is cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 the Baja Strip on the bottom is 2 1/2 x 4 1/2…..and run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I sponged the top edge after tearing with Baja…..there may have been a smidgen of black on my sponge huh?
The large Black Mat is 3 1/8 x 4 1/2 and the Vanilla Mat is 3 x 4 1/8. The small Black Mat is 2 5/8 x 3 7/8 and the Image is stamped with Black Stazon onto Watercolor Paper (luv that stuff) and colored in with my Aqua Painter and Crayons in Various shades.
I switched the side for the button as it seemed for this card it was more balanced. I used my Black Marker and colored the linen thread black to match the mat and tied it to the button. That’s it. Hope you like it!!!
Thanks for stopping in and we’ll see you over at Stamping 411!!

This is really pretty. I think I will use your card as an inspiration for my lighthouse stamp. Thank you for sharing.
Woah, this card is probably not even half white lol!!! I know it's always surprising when you do a "color" card, but you do them SO well too!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love your watercoloring
I love lighthouses too! They just bring a sense of calm knowing they are there to guide someone home.
It was SO wonderful getting to see you again. Thanks again for my Bowmaker....I love it!
Gorgeous, Lee! My mom collects Lighthouses, too!
