Now onto the sketch and my card.

Here is the sketch…

ssc_184

…and my card.

I have to admit I saw Connie’s card a few weeks back and love this little flower done in Baja Breeze and the Pearl so I embellished on that. (Thanks for the inspiration Connie). The flower is from the Just Believe Set and colored with markers in Baja and Old Olive.

 Sketch 184 and class 010

The Card Base is Very Vanilla and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded. The Horizontal piece in vanilla is 1 1/4 x 5 1/2 and the Baja Mat is 1 1/2 x 5 1/2. The Baja Seam Binding Ribbon was scrunched behind using snail to hold it in the back of the mat. I then went Pearl Crazy as I had lots of these little pearls on my desk….nuts huh? The Vanilla piece is actually scored at every 1/4 inch for texture. Almost looks like bead board but you can’t tell from here.

The Vertical Mat is 2 1/4 x 3 5/8 and the image piece is 2 1/8 x3 1/2. I added pearls to the vase created with Baja Card Stock and Large Oval Punch and and snipped the top and bottom almost straight…hehe …..(gives it character, not being totally straight)…sponged one side to give dimension and popped it up over the image. I then added a piece on the side using the Modern Label Punch and added the pearl. I also used the little tiny Jewelry Tag Punch and hung it from some of our Linen Thread. That’s it.

Hope you enjoyed my little share today and will join us in this weeks challenge.
