Stamping 411 Sketch 181

Hi Everyone,

Is this month not flying by??? OMG!! I just can’t believe we only have a few weeks until Christmas. In all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season the show must go on over at Stamping 411!!! I hope you will take a moment for yourself and play along this week.

Here is the sketch:

SSC181

…and the simple card I created for it.

Sketch 181 003

Totally Simple and Elegant and I think this will be my Christmas Card. You know the beauty of Stamping 411??? You get to play along with templates that are already created for you by Selene and Gretchen….it sure does make card making easy. Hope you will give it a try.

My card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and then the layer mat is 4 x 5 1/4. The mat is run partially through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder simply by inserting the part you want embossed. the image piece was stamped with Black Stazon onto Very Vanilla and colored with my Always artichoke marker and blender with my blender pen. I did a light blue outline with my watercolor pencil and blender pen as I love that look. The card and mat of course are done in Very Vanilla and the only color is the mat I created mimicking the Extra large Decorative Label Punch. I punched two in Cherry Cobbler and pieced behind the image piece that was punched out.

The Merry Christmas is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the stamp is from Come to Bethlehem.

The final and crowning touch to this card to give it a little pizzazz is the Cherry Cobbler  Seam Binding Ribbon which I adore. I made a triple bow with my bow maker. That’s it!!! Hope you enjoyed it and will think about playing along this week. Take a minute for you and de-stress!!!

What an amazing "Lee" card! It's all in its white glory. I love the stamp you've chosen. I think it gets overlooked in the catalog.

P.S. Thank you for your words of wisdom yesterday. They really helped!

What an absolutely beautiful card! I would love to know how you created the cherry mat around the label punch. I have the punch and like how you matted it. Thanks for sharing.
