Stamping 411 Challenge~ Artistic Etchings

Hi Everyone,

Is it already that time again? Where does the time go?

This was a fun and easy sketch for me….knew what I wanted the minute I saw it and it came out exactly the way I had envisioned…not like last week.

Here is the sketch:ssc168

….and my easy peasy interpretation.

411 Pictures Sept. 2010 003

So what do you think? Easy, huh? I have a black base that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in half. My Cherry Cobble Mat is cut to 4x51/4 and My fabulous Designer Series Paper is cut to 3-7/8x 5-1/8. I did sponge the edges with black on the Designer Series Paper. My Cherry Cobbler strip is cut to 1 1/4 x 4 and run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and then sponges with just a tad of black. I used a bit of sticky strip to the strip to add my scrunched ribbon treatment. then I added a Circle from my Circle Die in Black and stamped my image on Vanilla with Cherry Cobbler….I did cut that out. I like it better than just punching it. I sponged it a bit too as I had the sponge right here…hehe

My sentiment is from the Just Believe set and is stamped on Cardstock Vellum and cut out using our Modern Label Punch…..adhered that with my two way glue pen just under the lettering so you can’t see it onto my medallion and added a few Rhinestones to finish it off. That’s it!!!

I hope you like my share today and hope you’ll play along with us this week. The more the Merrier!!!

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

I really like this card.
You can "toot" your horn about this one too (just not in front of the kiddies...). LOL

beautiful job as always, I'm with Selene, I love that you did the sentiment on Vellum, it gives it a very cool effect.
and.....I'm still laughing at the "tooting" story, tee hee, but I LOVED your tutorial on SPlitcoast and now I'm bragging that I know someone famous.....I'm going to try that technique today.

Love the striking colors, with the crinkled ribbon and the very clever vellum sentiment! Perfect as always :)
