My Rhinestone Brad Bow Tutorial

Good Morning Everyone,

I have had so many requests for a Tutorial on how I make my Rhinestone Brad Bows….so here you go……

First you need some of our wonderful Satin Ribbon from Stampin’ Up! I find that works best, and a Rhinestone Brad.

Rhinestone Brad Bow Tutorial 002

Open the Rhinestone Brad fully and place Rhinestone face down so that it is ready for your ribbon.

Start to make your first loop as seen below..

Loop back and forth like Ribbon Candy

One more time so you have four loops…then cut with your Ribbon Scissors.

Here is a side view

Flip the ribbon over as the smaller loops will go face down into the brad and pinch together in the center as shown below.

Hold together pinched and set into open brad.

Close the top prong of the brad down over the center of the ribbon and………

then close the bottom prong up to complete and press firmly down to secure.

Flip over and Viola’ Instant Ribbon Bow. I attach to the Ribbon with a few glue dots. Of course you will want to fluff up your ribbon a bit, but that’s it.

I've always loved the look, but wasn't sure exactly how that was done. TFS.

This is wonderful. Can't wait to show to new stamp club members...even the old ones! Some people are just not crafty by nature and these tips hide that fact. Thanks so much.
