Shaving Cream Technique for Totally Techniques

Hi Everyone,

It's time for The Totally Technique Challenge Team!

It’s been awhile. It’s been so crazy busy that I haven’t had time to breathe,  but today….I finally stamped!
I’m super excited to just sit here and create…it’s so relaxing to me. Especially water coloring! Mix that with a Technique and I’m good!
For this technique I first had to select a color that I wanted to start with. That was difficult as we have so many yummy colors.  I choose Mint Macoron.

Here is my creation and the How To's

So…do you know how to do the Shaving Cream Technique? It’s pretty easy really.
  • First you get some Shaving Cream…shake the cane and squirt onto a paper or foam plate.

  • Add some drops of Re-inker to the top of the Shaving Cream

  • Then using a skewer I kind of moved it around like frosting. In a wavy pattern across and up and down. Just lightly drag the skewer.

Next place paper on top and press down lightly. You will have to scrap the foam off but it leaves a nice pattern in the color or your choice. Guess what I used to scrape it off? A Pampered Chef Brown Scraper. Works like a charm. Smile

I then had to decide on a Stamp Set and went with the You’ve got this Flower. Love this set from the Big Catalog that I haven’t used in a while. I used my Calypso Coral re-inker and Aqua Painter to color the Flower and Mint Macaron to color the leaves and stem.

A trip of our White Jute Ribbon looks sweet across the background piece I think. I felt it needed a little feminine touch. I did fussy cut the flower…I think I like doing that too…..it’s relaxing when you’re not in a hurry. lol
I tied a little white twine to add to the flower to kind of balance it and then decided I should have a sentient. So I brought out “One Big Meaning” it’s awesome!!! Love this saying…don’t you?

I almost forgot…I used the new “Wink of Stella” in Gold for the center of the flower. It’s so pretty. Just a hint of glitter.

Want to see what the rest of the Design Team is up to? Here they are!!

Thanks for stopping in today. Enjoy all the wonderful talent!

Happy Stamping!

Lee, love the background it reminds me of the PERFECTLY ARTISTIC
DESIGNER SERIES PAPER 141021 found in the 2016 Sale-A-Bration catalog fell in love with this DSP and was trying to figure a way to duplicate this dsp after the sale plus to do other colors . You solved my problem, thank you for showing the technique.
