Peaceful Pines for Totally Techniques

Hi Everyone, So good to be back. Been a little under the weather and missed you all!
It’s time for…

I’d like to share a little card I did featuring Peaceful Pine out of the Holiday Catalog. I really do love this set. It’s so easy to use with the framelits that come along with the Bundle.
Sponging for Techniques Oct 2015
Anyway this Months Technique is Sponging. I know I only did a little on this card but do love how it turned out so soft and pretty with little effort. Amazing what a little sponge can do.
My Card base is Whisper White cut to 4 1/4 x 11 and then I have a mat of Silver Glimmer Paper cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. The Pool Party mat is cut to 3 3/4 x 5 and sponged pretty heavily with our White Craft Ink and I added a few snowflakes stamped in White. The White snow if just scrap strips of card stock that I sponged with Pool Party and layered on the card. The tree is cut out first using the bigger of the trees in the Perfect Pines Die and then stamped with the dotted stamp for the tree to resemble snow. I also sponged the edges in white but decided it needed to pop just a little more so sponged over it with Pool Party for a softer look and to make it stand out a bit. The Tree is tucked between the layers of snow and adhered to the background with glue dots.
Of course it needed a little bling and sparkle to I used a bunch of Rhinestones for the tree and a Silver Star for the tree topper. The little package was just a scrap of Red Glimmer Paper sitting on my desk. I added glue dots to the back and attached a bit of silver twine adhering in the back. I added the little silver bow to the top using a glue dot. I think it’s just the pop of color it needed, don’t you?
Oh forgot to tell you to stamp your sentiment before you attached it to the card.
That’s it for today. If I can help you with any of your Stamping needs please let me know. That’s why I’m here.
Smile
Here are the supplies I’ve used on my card today.

We are on the same wavelength again. I love these colors together and I too only sponged a bit. The softness is just right with the Glimmer!!!
