WWYS with Mothers Love?

Hi Everyone!

Have you visited “What Will You Stamp” Yet? It’s an interactive Blog that one of my Downlines (friend) came up with. Each week we all do a card using the same Stamp Set! So much fun to see all those idea using one set….makes the investment worthwhile when you can see lots of designs using the same set.

I am so excited about my card today, I hope you are too!

Amanda selected the set Mother’s Love for us to use this week. Isn’t it pretty? Make sure to pick it up if you want this set as it will be going away soon.

Without further ado…here is my card.

Mothers Love

I went a little non traditional with the Designer Paper but I think it works….do you? It’s actually the Sweet Dreams Designer Paper from the Occasions Catalog. It’s actually a very soft baby kind of paper. I love it!

Anyway I did my card base in Soft Sky and did a white mat the same size as the Designer Paper mat. Just taped together for more substance. I popped that up with dimensionals. Then I stamped the staying in Basic Gray as I thought Black might be too dark. Well it was a little darker than I wanted so…….after cutting it out with my oval framelit I cut out a piece of vellum to add to the top of it. I think it softened it just enough. I of course popped that up with dimensionals. I adhered the vellum with my two way glue pen in places that would be covered with my ribbon and flower. I stamped the flower and stamped off lightly to soften it and colored in with markers. …..yes I did fussy cut that! Can you believe it? Then added my little bow (using my bow maker at the top of my blog) with a glue dot. Hope you like it and the inside of the card that I matted and used a crap of paper that was left over to pull it together.

Thanks for stopping in today…..make sure to check out WWYS!

From the minute I saw this card I loved the "softness" of it. Now that I know you used the vellum I think it's so interesting how we can perceive a subtle beauty w/o knowing exactly what it is that's creating it. Lovely card Lee!
