Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge 183 and Blog Candy

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I’d also like to wish my Sister Operators a wonderful Day and look forward to working with these fabulously talented Group of Ladies for another year. Thanks to our Group Mom, Selene Kempton for bringing this fabulous group together. Love ya Selene!!!!

411_blog_candy-001

In honor of Christmas the Stamping 411 Operators  wanted to offer up some Blog Candy…..so make sure to check each operators blog to see what they will be Gifting  for Christmas. How fun is that? All you have to do is leave a comment on each Operators Blog you would like to participate in. Read below for the full scoop…..

Now onto the sketch…..

Here is the sketch:SSC183

….and my interpretation.

Christmas and Sketch 183 030 I had so much fun building this with my new punch that will be available in January. It’s a sneak peek of what’s to come.

The set I used is called Build a Blossom and the Punch is called Blossom Petals Punch. I used some of the DSP from the Brights Pattern Pack.

The card Base is Whisper White and measures 5 1/4 x 10 1/2 and the Pretty in Pink Mat is 5 1/8 x 5 1/8. Followed with the DSP Mat cut to 5x5. I then made and Old Olive Mat that measures 4x4 and then used a piece of white embossed with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder that measures 3 3/4 x 3 3/4. I popped that layer up with Dimensionals.  Ahhhhhhhh…then the process of building the flower. I stamped the flower petals in Regal Rose and used two of the petal stamps. then punched them out. I cut a white circle using my 1 3/8 circle punch and using glue dots started building my flower by attaching the pieces to the circle. I did roll the petals a bit on a skewer to give them a rounded natural look. The center image is stamped in Old Olive and popped up with a big glue dot. The narrow mats behind the image are Pretty in Pink and cut to 1 x 5 1/4 and the white 3/4 x 5 and stamped with Curly Cute. So there ya go…..see what you have to look forward to….

Now onto my blog candy….you will have to leave your email address in your comment on my blog to be eligible to win and an answer to my Question…..”What is my Favorite Winter Color”?

Here is what one lucky person will get…one roll of Riding Hood Red Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon and my Bow Maker….

Good Luck Everyone!!! The winner will be announced on New Years Day.

Wow! Look at those beautifully curled petals. Obviously there is still alot of SU! "stuff" ... that we don't have here in AUS! This makes such a stunning card! Love the softness of the colours! My favourite winter colour is silver ... I love it for card making ... to us with all the other colours as an accent. Love my silver bracelet that my daughter gave me for Christmas ... and love silver ornaments on the tree. (We don't actually have silver ornaments ... but I do love them more than any other!) But ... it is a little ironic ... cos our Christmas is actually in the middle of summer! So ... perhaps these don't qualify as they don't represent winter here! Hugs xxaxx

Oh, how I would love to be the recipient of your beautiful card! It conveys the appreciation of the sender without even a word. Your cards are amazing and inspirational. My favorite winter color is actually a neutral - white. When snow is on the ground everything is highlighted and looks so pretty.

I think my favorite winter color is bashful blue. Thanks for sharing you card. The bow maker is very interesting. I don't think I've seen one of those. I really have a hard time making bows I untie and tie about 100 times.

I have two favorite winter colors--Cherry Cobbler (traditional), Pretty in Pink (girly non-traditional).

I really didn't think there was anything I 'needed' in the upcoming mini--rethinking that after seeing your gorgeous card. I need to just close my eyes and stop looking at all your pretty cards. LOL

My favorite winter color? that's a tough one....I'm going to have to go with Baja Breeze for now, I really that it sounds more summery than wintery but it looks great with "snow" scenes!

And wouldn't I just love to win a Bow Maker blog candy prize!

Hi Lee,

My favorite winter color has always been some shade of soft blue, but in working with the SU products this year, it has been hands down Cherry Cobbler!! What a beautiful color. Thanks for the opportunity to win this bow maker as I have been curious about it for a while.

Happy Holidays to you and your family,

My favorite color is Baja Breeze with Chocolate Chip. I think yours must be Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White a close second. I got a throw from Pottery Barn from my parents the same color as Baja Breeze and I splurged and got the matching pillows for my new couch. I love your card, I hope you do this in a class.
