Kind and Caring Thoughts

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful day!!! Today I’d like to share a card I did showcasing one of Stampin’ Up! Hostess Sets “Kind and Caring Thoughts.

I needed to do something a bit masculine not too fru fru and a little Vintage. I hope I have accomplished that without making it difficult. I think I have.

Kind and Caring Thoughts Vintage Style 002

The card base is run through the Big Shot and with our new Square Lattice Embossing Folder that is in our new Summer Mini Catalog ( you can view it on my sidebar if you wish or at my online store).

Anyway I did the front card base with it and then added some Soft Suede, some old book print (from an old book) and a layer of Black and Watercolor Paper for the image.

So with the image piece I did a color wash using our Glimmer Paint and a re-inker, then embossed the image using Versamark and Black Embossing Powder. Heat set it and found that the solid image came out sort of Filigree….I guess because it was Watercolor Paper and not smooth. I think that part turned out awesome. I’ll be anxious to see what happens to the next one I make. I did a lot of tearing and curling and daubbering on this card and hope it works…..I’m really not good at Vintage and tearing…..eeeks!!! That’s even difficult to write for me….no straight edges and clean images is usually my route but I had to do this…and this is the baddest I can get!!! hehe

Well that’s my share for today. I appreciate your stopping by and hope you will come back soon. If I can help with any of your stamping needs don’t hesitate do contact me.

…now have a …………

Stampinglee Good Day!

It is definitely vintage and very masculine. Great Job! I know how you feel, the whole tearing thing is out of my comfort zone too.Regards from Aussie Land.
