My Little Cupcake!

Good Morning everyone and Welcome to another Sketch Challenge from Stampin 411

If it’s Saturday…it’s challenge time.!!! Here is the sketch:

ssc142 …..and my interpretation…..

The More the Merrier Cupcake 004

Don’t you just love this little cupcake? I had fun with this one. Thanks Selene for the challenge I had to think on this for a bit. I knew I wanted to use one little cupcake and make it feel like Spring. What do you think, think I accomplished it?

The base of the card is cut at 5 1/2x 1/2

The Pale Plum mat is cut a 3” x 2 1/4” for the Polka Dots (made with a pencil eraser)with a image piece of 2 7/8 x  2 1/8

The Pale Plum Mat for the Checked piece (made with the Solid Striped Stamp. stamp twice going opposite ways.) is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and the checked piece at 2 3/8 x 2 3/8

The Pale Plum Dotted Strip is 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 that piece is run through the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and I attached a scalloped Border made with just a scrap.

I punched two Scallop Squares one in Pale Plum and used my 1 1/4” Punch to cute my checked piece. I then cut the Certainly Celery Square in half and extended it beyond the Pale Plum Scalloped Square to add a bit of color. My Little Cupcake is from a Hostess Set called. “The More the Merrier”. So cute I love these little cupcakes and hope you do too!

I finally topped it off with some of our new 5/8 Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon. It’s so silky! then did my little Ribbon Treatment with a large white brad.

I hope you find a little time to play with us this coming week. We’d love to see your interpretation too!

…as always….

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!!!

Amazing card Lee! I had to jump over to see where in the world you got that polka Dot paper, I thought I missed it somewhere! So cute! And so creative to use the pencil eraser and to stamp the striped stamp twice. Love it!
