Stamping 411 Animal Stories

Good Morning Everyone!

Time for another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411

I decided to use the Animal Stories set for this challenge. I actually was going to use the other gorgeous side of this Designer Series paper and turned it over to tape it and saw that I had some pretty cool scenery going on….so I built on that. The DSP is called Tall Tales from Stampin’ Up!

Now here is my interpretation:

ssc110 Animal Stories

The base of the cardstock is So Saffron and is cut to 5 1/2” x 8 1/2 “ and folded in half. I ran it through the Big Shot with a Texturz plate to of course give some texture.

I then used the large Scallop Bigz Die to cut the Designer Paper and my Circle Scissors to mat it onto some Old Olive Cardstock. I set the Circle Scissors at 4 3/4” and cut.

I stamped the Giraffe with So Saffron and kissed it with the stamps from Circle Circus (Thanks Tammy for brining back this favorite technique) in Close to Cocoa. By kissing I mean you stamp the main image and then before you stamp it to paper add a design by inking up another stamp with a different color and stamping directly to the rubber…then huff (heavy breathing here) and stamp! I did a little Faux Stitching added a bit of ribbon and finished it off with a cute little button. Ta Da!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my sketch card this week and will play along over at http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ I’d love to see you there.

If you’d like to order anything you’ve seen here you can always shop 24/7 at my website. Thanks for visiting and as always……….

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

I love this paper, and your choices of color.. I really had to read about your kissing to figure out how you did this... Awesome! See you in a few days my friend.
