Stamping 411 Sketch 188

Hi Everyone,

Time for another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. I’m not sure where this week went but it’s gone.

I hope you will play along this week….it was fun coming up with something for this sketch. It took a little more thinking for me than usual. I hope you like it.

Here is the sketch:

SSC188

…and my card…..

Sketch 188 010  I used the Nature Walk Set for this card. I started by using a Black Foldover that I had sitting on my desk. It’s 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (I’ll worry about the inside when I need it) . I then took a piece of First Edition DSP and attached it to a piece of Vanilla Card Stock to give it some body. It’s 3 1/4 x 5 1/2. I then ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and sponged it a bit. I added the Square Rhinestone Fire Brads using my paper piercer to poke the holes.

Then the image….I decided the Bird would fit just fine and stamped him in Black Stazon onto a piece of Watercolor Paper 2 x 3 1/4 and water colored it with my pencils, crayons and Aqua Painter. It still needed something so I got out my Ribbon Punch and made a scallop edge on the bottom with Riding Hood Red and one on the top but left it paling. The width is 5 1/2 “ on those.

Still needed a bit of something so I got out my scallop  Oval punch and my large oval and used the no. 147 on it to complete it. I did a little sponging and assembled.

I hope you like it and take a bit of time for yourself this week and play along.

Have a great weekend.

This is a beautiful card. I love all the texture and color combo. I also like the red strip on top and the scallop on the bottom with just a hit of color. Nice.
