Stamping 411 Sketch #266 Chock Full of Cheer

Hey!!!

I’ve got my First Christmas Card of the Year here. Late for me.

This is from the new Sketch from Stamping 411….hope you’ll play along.

Here is the sketch…

SSC266

…and her is my take on it.

Sketch 266

  • The card base is Shimmer White Card Stock and cut to 5x 10 inches. It’s scored at 5”.
  • The next layer is that of Gumball Green and cut to 3 3/8 square
  • The next layer is embossed using an embossing folder and cut to 3 1/4 square.
  • Then comes the fun DSP cut to3” square It’s called Be of Good Cheer.
  • Then another layer of Gumball Green cut to 2 5/8 square
  • Finally the shimmer white embossed piece cut to 2 1/2 square (sorry the folder I used is not in the catalog, my bad)
  • Now I’m ready for the cute mittens. They are stamped in Gumball Green and cut out. I made the pom-poms with some of our bakers twine, sort of a tedious thing to do but oh so cute. Then I added some rhinestones to finish them off.
  • The mittens are attached with dimensionals.

So what do you think of my Girly-Girl Mittens? I think my Granddaughter would love these!!!

Have a great weekend.

Stamping 411 Sketch #265~Play Along

Hi Everyone,
I’ve got a fun card for  your today. I hope you like it
We’ve got a great sketch today, I really had a lot of fun with this one. A Big Thanks to Selene and Gretchen for continuing to come up with fabulous sketches for us to play with.
Here is the sketch:
ssc_265
….and my interpretation.
SAM_0781I love the new Big Background Stamp called Pleasant Poppies. It’s not just for backgrounds you know. I stamped this beauty on Watercolor Paper and used my neglected Watercolor Pencils and colored in by starting the coloring using a mustard tone on all the  flowers. I then went over with a reddish orange for the poppies leaving a bit of the yellow showing. I moved the color around using my Aqua Painter. Love to color like this.
  • The card base is Vanilla and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
  • I used the new Large Scallop Edgelit to cut the bottom
  • The Image was stamped on Watercoler paper and then cut to a 3” circle. The mat to a 3 1/4 circle and it’s Old Olive.
  • The Polka Dot Mat using Polka Dot Parade is cut to 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 and and then mounted on Old Olive cut to 1 5/8 c 5 5/8.
  • I did a double loop bow using Vanilla Seam Binding and attaching to the back of the polka dot mat. Then attached to the card base.
  • I cut another polka dot piece to place on the inside and peek out the bottom. It’s cut to 3/4 x 5 1/2…love this look.
  • I then popped the circle up with dimensionals.
  • I went back and took my Bashful Blue Marker and drew a light line around the images and stems and then blended with my aqua painter to make the image pop. Hope you like it.
That’s it for today. I hope you’ll think about playing this week. It’s an awesome sketch. Just go through you stamps or catalog and see what fits in a circle….you’ll be half way there.
Have fun and see you next time.

Stamping 411 Sketch 264-International Bazaar

Wow! We’ve got a great sketch for you today. Wait until you see……

Sketch SSC_264

I had so much fun with this sketch. I love the way this card turned out. Hope you do too.

Sketch 264

Aren’t these colors scrumptious? Wowser…..I didn’t know I could use all these colors together!!! Just take a peek at the DSP and see what colors go with it and shazam  you’ve got a card!!!!

  • The base of this card is done in Pool Party and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
  • The next layer is Rich Razzleberry and cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.
  • The Designer Series Paper is International Bazaar and just gorgeous. It’s cut to 3 3/4 x 5. (this is my fav piece, boy was it hard to cut into it).
  • Next is the Rich Razzleberry layer or mat cut to2 5/8 x 3 7/8. The image piece is 2 1/2 x 3 3/4
  • I stamped the images from Summer Silhouettes in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.
  • The bottoms piece is cit to 1 x 3 1/4 and run through the Big Shot using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. Yummy!
  • I had to of course add a bit of ribbon. So I did my bow using the Daffodil Delight Seam binding…boy did that tie it together.
  • Final step is the verse stamped in Rich Razzleberry and it’s from World Treasure. It’s then cut out with the matching Framelit. I did pop that up with a dimensional.

I hope you liked my card this week. I love these colors together….don’t you?

Have a great weekend.

Here is the sketch…
Sketch 263-001
and here is my card….
Sketch 263
Love this cute little set called Bootiful Occasions'. It’s so adorable!
  • The card base is Basic Black and cut to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2
  • The next layer is Melon Mambo and cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
  • Then we’ve got an embossed layer of black cut to 3 3/4 x 5 and run through the Big Shot using the new Argyle Embossing Folder.
  • The image piece is Whisper White and cut with the Labels Collection Framelits.
  • The boot was stamped with a Basic Black Pad once on the Framelit Piece and once again on a scrap and cut out. I then popped up the image with dimensionals. I added just a touch of Melon Mambo with my marker to the boot to tie it all together.
Hope you like it.

SAM_0790

I’m not sure you can see the piercing on the circle but it’s there. I used the new Mat Pack and Paper Piercer and Template. Wow!! It’s awesome. So many possibilities.

I stamped the image in Early Espresso and and stamped onto White. the DSP is from the World Bazaar collection. It’s so cool. I then did a strip of Lucky Limeade on the right side of the card and embossed it with the Argyle Folder and sponged it a bit.

I think it came out pretty good for a Ma Can Card….I feel I struggle with those.
