Perrie’s Magic Box! hehe

Hi Everyone,

Well as you might know it’s been pretty rainy here in Sunny Florida. However the Tropical Storm is moving on but the rains continue. We’ve got a few fallen trees on my street and still some high winds, but not like yesterday. The Tornado Warnings are what scare me, my hubby had to go check on his construction project at the college and called to tell me of the warning and to get in the Laundry Room or the Pantry. The only two places in my house that are totally encased with 3 walls and a door and no windows. I picked the pantry…figure I could at least eat huh??? hehe

Enough of that….wanted to share my “Workshop in a Box” for Perrie. I will be sending this to her on Tuesday. Perrie lives in another state but wanted to do a workshop for me. She actually calls this the “Magic Box” don’t you love that? You open it up and instant workshop, invite your friends over and it’s MAGIC!!! How fun! Want to see Perrie’s workshop cards?

…and what she will be getting in the mail. Of course I’m showing the old catalog….she’ll be be getting the new Catalog!!! Whoo Hoo!

I am showcasing the Betsy’s blossoms Stamp Set that will be in the new Catalog. Can I just say how awesome it is. I love it!!!

Don’t you just love these colors together? I love this new Gumball Green……It’s awesome. So are the new pads!!! Gone are the days of not getting your bold images inked well. These new pads will make sure of that. Wait until you try them!!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #257

Hi Everyone,
I’m having so much fun creating with my new goodies. I have a fun one for you today.
Here is the sketch from Stamping 411

…and my interpretation.
 
I didn’t think I was going to like this new color but I was wrong!!! OMG!!! It is so rich and beautiful! It’s called Summer Starfruit.
Want the deets? Here you go…enjoy!

• Summer Starfruit  for the base cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
• Black mat cute to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
• White image piece is rolled with the Alhambra Jumbo Wheel using Black Ink. I colored in the center of the flowers with the Summer Starfruit marker.  This piece was cut to 3 3/4 3 7/8
• The Summer Starfruit on the bottom was cut to 1 x 3 3/4 and run through the stripes Embossing Folder.
• Once the piece was wheeled, colored I attached all and added a double bow using the Stitched Satin Ribbon in Summer Starfruit. What else? hehe
• I words are from the World Treasures set and stamped on a scrap of white and cut out using the new Apothecary Accents Framelits.
• I did pot the words up using dimensionals.
• Notice the inside? Had a scrap and did the bottom inside of the card to match. Love it! Hope you do too!

Coloring With Markers~Make a Cake

Hi Everyone!

I want to share a sweet card I did this morning with the new “Make a Cake” Stamp Set coming out June 1st.

I love coloring with markers directly to the stamp in various colors. Did you know that is one way to get different colors on one stamp? (make sure to read to the bottom of the post to see what’s happening)

 

Here I  applied two colors, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery to the base of the cake changing colors. Then the top two layers….Cool huh. Make sure to “Huff” on you stamp before inking the paper to remoisten the ink. Also make sure to use the side of the brush tip not the point to save the tip of your markers so they don’t get fuzzy and on you.

 

Speaking of Markers……did you know that the Markers below (It’s what is left…so hurry) are not going to be sold individually anymore? Well they are not. They are retiring, but only as individual Markers….they will still be available in Color families.

So if you have a favorite below I can’t stress enough that you need to get them now….otherwise they will only be available in sets. Just click here to see other things retiring and to be directed to my online store…..

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,
It’s time for Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge again. Where is the time going????
Here is the sketch……

…and my interpretation using some of the new product from Stampin’ Up! Love it!!!!
 

• The card base is white and cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored and folded in half.
• The white mat is cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and run through the Big Shot using the new Fancy Fan Folder (whoo hoo)
• The Rich Razzleberry mat is cut to 2 5/8 x3 7/8
• the DSP comes next and it’s called Floral District and it’s gorgeous! It’s cut to 2 1/2 x 3 3/4
• I used the saying from Itty Bitty Banners and cut it on the new Bitty Banners Framelits. By the way I inked it with Markers done in Rich Razzleberry and our new Gumball Green.
• The flower is from Betsy’s Blossoms and inked with the same Markers. I then cut anc popped up with a dimensional and added a Rhinestone to center of the flower and the left side of the banner.

That’s it.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my card made with all new products.

How To Tie A Bottle Knot~Tutorial

Hi Everyone!
I’ve got a cool little trick for you today. It’s how to tie a Bottle Knot with your Stampin’ Mist Bottle. So get your Stampin’ Mist Bottle and follow along.

• Take your desired ribbon and bring it around the top part of the bottle. Cut end on the left. ( I do not cut a length but work from the roll) It saves ribbon.

• Cross the piece in your left hand over the ribbon.

  

• Bring the cut piece up through the bottom and pull straight up and down with the tails.

  

• Now bring the top (cut end)down and tie into a knot.

• Pull both ends to the sides

• Pull ribbon off bottle and this is what it should look like. Loop and two ends.

 

• Measure  to card and cut just enough to attach to the back of the mat with tape/Mono.

• Now make a cut into the loop at a diagonal

 

• Almost there…..now pull both ends to the sides, then trim ends…..and there you have it. Attach to the back of your mat and attach to the card base.

• The Perfect very time Bottle Knot

…and here is the finished Product.

For my Card I sued some of the New In-Color Card Stock and Ribbon. along with the Alhambra Wheel and World Treasure Stamp Set. These new products will be in the new catalog coming out June 1st so stay tuned.
