Friends 24/7 and RBT Clue #1

Hi Everyone,

As you my know the Royal Blog Tour will commence in the next several days.  There will be one lucky winner who will win a Fabulous Prize…read below for Clue #1 and what you need to do. Make sure you fill out those entries correctly. Good Luck!!

NRP - Clue 1

I wanted to share this simple but Elegant card with you that I did with the Friends 24/7 Stamp Set. It’s such a pretty delicate image. I decided to use our gorgeous Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and colored the flowers in with my blended pen and ink pad.

CHerry Cobbler 002

Unfortunately the color didn’t photograph true to life as it’s starting to get dark but you get the idea. I’ve also used a mat of Early Espresso and a Embossed Vanilla Mat using our Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. …and don’t you love the Ribbon? It’s the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and just luscious!

I hope you enjoyed my little share today.

Stamping 411 Sketch 175

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. I had a tough time with this one and took the liberty of changing the image design a bit. I hope you like it.

Here is the sketch:Sketch_175

….and my interpretation:

Sketch 175 005 The base of the card is Always Artichoke and cut at                      5 1/2 x 8 1/2, The Cherry Cobbler Mat is 4 x 5 1/4 the thin Always Artichoke Mats are 1-1/8” x 4” and on that I used some of the fabulous Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper. The design was actually one that is very simple…kind of an open check design in Vanilla and Crumb Cake…I added some stamped images (Elements of Style ) in Always Artichoke and (French Foliage Dots) in Cherry Cobbler to tie in the colors even more.

The oval is one of our Big Shot Dies and is the inside of the large Scallop Oval. I sued the Bells and Boughs set which so compliments this DSP as well as the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon. OMG!! that ribbon is the BESTEST!!!! As you can se I did a Triple Bow!! How fun!! That ribbon is so easy to work with.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little post today and hope you’ll come back soon. In the meantime please hop on over to the Stamping 411 Blog and  play along. It’s fun!!!

Thanks for stopping by and as always…..

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick hello to let you know that my Blog is getting a bit of a blog lift…I hope you will enjoy it when it’s done. Hopefully that will be in the next day or two, so bear with me.

Just a quick share I did for a workshop earlier in the week. The Hostess wanted to use the Loads of Love Stamp Set…so this is what I came up with.

On this one we masked the truck and added a Christmas Tree….they had fun with that. It was colored with the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens….my new favorite way of coloring.

Stamping 411 Sketch 174

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back! I have a fun, fast and fabulous card for you today. It’s time for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge again.

Here is the sketchSSC174

…..and her is my card…..I deviated a bit on the bottom….it was just screaming Ribbon to me so I did it.

sketch 174 002

This card is so easy and I think a WOW!! Cards don’t have to be difficult to be a WOW….let me tell you what I did.

Stamp Set is a Level 2 Hostess Set called Peaceful Season

Card Base is 4 1/4 x 11 in Very Vanilla

Black Mat is 3 –7/8 x 5 1/8 and DSP is 3-3/4 x 5

I sponged the edges of the DS with Black Stazon and adhered to the black Mat. I then cut a black mat 2-1/8 x 3- 1/8 and my image piece is 2 x 3

I stamped the image with Black Stazon to give it that rich black look. I then added the Peace on Earth image and mounted it with dimensionals onto the black mat. I felt it needed a little POP so I took my 2-Way Glue pen and ran it down the edges of the image piece and sprinkle on some Dazzling Diamonds. WOW!! It popped alright.

I made a bow and wrapped it around the matted DSP Piece and attached to the card front with dimensionals. Then I assembled…..I still felt it needed a little something….so I stamped the world and cut it out and attached to the center of the bow. Then I thought why not add the sparkle to the edges of the card……oh my…it’s so pretty in person. I actually had to go outside to capture some of the sparkle and still didn’t capture all of it.

So that’s it….an easy, fun and WOW card that took very little time. I hope you enjoyed your visit and will go over to Stamping 411 this week and play along.

Stamping 411 Sketch 173

Hi Everyone,

What a fast week, huh? It’s already time for yet another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411

Here is the sketch:

SSC173

…and my interpretation.

Sketch 172 and 173 004

….as Patty Chesky said: “She’s backkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!” She cracks me up. So I know I use a lot of white and I challenged myself to do more color cards and I did…..but I just couldn’t with this one. All because I wanted to put a moon in the image piece…makes sense, right? hehe

This is just my own personal vision of how Old St. Nick would have looked. Doesn’t the white and blue make it sort of icy cold looking…just like it should be? It was fun creating this….I hope you enjoy it.

The white Card is cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

The Marina Mist Mat is 4 x 5 1/4

White embossed piece is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8

Image Piece was stamped on a scrap and cut out.

I colored the image with Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.

I made mask for the moon with my 1 1/4” circle punch and cut the circle out of a post it note with some sticky on it. Placed it on top of the reindeer and part on St. Nick and added the blue with my pencils and blender pen. Then removed the mask. Once I was finished I cut all around the Holly (not for the weak of heart)!! It was a lot of little cuts that’s for sure. I then mounted it on with dimensionals and added my double bow. That’s it.

I hope you will play along this week or just stop by the Stamping 411 blog and see what the other Operators are up to.

Thanks for stopping in and hope to see you back soon.

Have a Stampnglee good Day!

Stamping 411 Sketch 172~Peace Within

Hi Everyone,

I’m going to get away from my Christmas Creating for today.

It’s time for another Stamping 411 Sketch and I’m saying Good-bye to summer with this card.

Here is the sketch:

SSC172

…and my interpretation.

Sketch 172 and 173 001

Did you ever have a day at the end of the summer and just know fall was coming? that’s how I felt when I created this card. As you my know I live in Florida and we have lots of Hot weather but the other day as I was creating this it was a bit cooler and the air was crisp and I thought…..fall is almost here. So I wanted to say Good-bye to the Pool and the Beach and the Lake…..by doing this lazy ode to Summer Card. Can’t you just feel the air getting cooler?

Anyway enough of my daydreaming…..the card was done with "The Peace Within" Set and colored with my trusty Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens….love those things for coloring.

The card base is Crumb Cake and is cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

Early Espresso Mat is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8

Pale Plum is 3 3/4 x 5

Early Espresso Mat is 3 1/8 x 3 5/8

Image Piece is Whisper White and 3” x 3 1/2”

Stamped the image in Black Stazon and colored with my Watercolor Pencils outlining the image and the lines. Then with my Blender Pen I swirled the color from the edges in to create the varying color. I added some brown for the sand and blue for the water and a lighter blue for the sky. I added a few seagulls…..don’t you see more of those at the end of the summer??? That’s about it except I did emboss the Pale Plum with the embossing folder and added a bit of choc. Chip Grosgrain and one of our fantabulous brads (Antique Brads).

So that’s it….I’m so happy you stopped in. Hope you’ll take a little time to play along this week over at Stamping 411!!

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!
