More Black Magic

Hi Everyone,

I’ve got another Black Magic Card for you today.  Black Magic is done by stamping with White Craft Ink and then letting it dry or speeding it up by using your heat gun to dry. then coloring in with Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils.

This card is done with the Upsy Daisy Set and will be one of my technique cards for the month of April. I think my customers will have fun with this one. I can see it now!!! They love anything new and a bit different and I’ve got many that will take this to the next level which I love seeing.

Black Magic Technique 004_thumb[10]

I’ve used the Finial Press Embossing Folder and some of our wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I did a bit of Ribbon Shredding on one end to add a bit of character.  I also added some magic to the edges of the black to give it a bit of punch. hope you like it. I love reading all your comments and hope you’ll take the time to tell me what you think.

Thanks for stopping by and as always….

Fifth Avenue Floral Meets Vintage

Hi Everyone,

Oh this is so not the norm for me. I’m practicing up on doing Vintage. hehe

Actually this is for a swap I’m in next week and I’m just finishing up with them.

I used the Finial Press Embossing Folder by Stampin’ Up! for the back mat and sponged it a bit with So Saffron. I them cut an oval and stamped it with our Bella Toile Background stamp in Versamark and embossed with White embossing Powder. Sponged the edges with Saffron and More Mustard to give it an old vintage feel.

SAB Stamps and Sketch Challenges 004

My Flowers were embossed on Vellum Card Stock and colored on the back side to maintain the softness…..I think that is considered the Stained Glass Technique, then attached with Dimensionals after dying my ribbon to match.

I hope you enjoy my share today…..it’s not my norm…but I’m practicing remember!!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon.

It’s a Stretch Stamping 411 Challenge Card

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411

It’s that time of week again where we get to use our imaginations and let them run wild. Here is the latest sketch:

ssc144

….and my interpretation:

It's a Stretch Challenge Card 144 004

I used the long (no pun intended) neglected “It’s a Stretch” Stamp Set for this sketch. I immediately know I wanted to use this set and make different size vases.

I used white for my card base and cut it at 4 1/4 x 11

The pink and white piece of Designer Series Paper is from our Sweet Pea Designer pack and it too cool for words. This piece is cut to 2  3/4 x 4  1/4.

Then we have the little scraps of Black that were sitting on my stamp area….and I wondered if there was enough black in the image to use black. Well I kind of like the two piece effect…don’t you?

My Image piece of white is cut at 2 x 4 and dotted with my Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the image in Black Stazon and colored in with my Aqua Painter and Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

Once completed I wanted to add a little shine to the Vases…so added a bit of Crystal Effects onto the water area. make sure to let this dry for awhile and do not try to heat set. You will have a mess if you do.

Let’s not forget the infamous Polka Dot Embossing Folder for the front of my card either. I’m beginning to believe it’s not a real card (for me) unless it has it on there somewhere…..I’m such a Polka Dot Person!!!

Anyway, that’s my challenge card for today and I hope you enjoyed it. I thank you for your continued support and visits to my blog. You guys are the BESTEST!!!! Don’t forget to Play along……….

Black Magic & Looking for a Guest Stamper’s

Good Morning Everyone!

I’ve been playing around with the Black Magic Technique. It’s really quite fun. Send me your card using this technique and I’ll post them to my blog. It will be fun!!!

Here I’ve featured the Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set on this card.

Black Magic Technique 001

To do the Black Magic Technique you stamp the image on Black Cardstock (or a dark color) and let dry or speed up the drying process with your heat gun. Then color in with your colored pencils. I used my Watercolor Pencils. For the background I cut one inch strips and adhered to a piece of cardstock and trimmed….then ran it through my Big Shot using the Finial Press Embossing Folder. I finished it off by attaching rhinestones to the corners and in the center of the main image. I hope you enjoy my little share today…it was a fun technique…give it a try and let me know how you do.

Thanks for stopping by and as always….

Birds and Blooms Flower

Good Morning Everyone,

I love this little Sizzlet Die from Stampin’ Up! The little points on the end of the petals look so real to me. It’s very fun and easy to work with. I cut out five flowers and scrunched them and sponged them to get this look. I added the Little leaves cut out as well to top it off.

flower soft 010

The Polka Dot Designer Paper is part of the Sweet Pea Designer Paper Pack that is to die for Gorgeous!!! Don’t you think? Oh, I also embossed the So saffron mat behind the Designer Paper with my Polka Dot Embossing Folder, again from Stampin’ Up! Love those little dots but if you're a frequent visitor of mine I’m sure you already know that. hehe

Don’t forget we are winding down with Sale-a-Bration…..if you still have things on you wish list…there is still time. You can shop 24/7 at my online store or contact me and I’ll be happy to place your order.

Fun-Fun-Fun!!!

Can I just say I had a blast at my workshop yesterday! Well I did!!

I met Carolyn and her Mother-in-Law Eloise at a Church Vendor Fair I did last November. Eloise called and told me (4 months later) that they would like to have a workshop at her daughter’s house. That would be Maria. Well I saw a few hundred people that day and I could just not place these lovely ladies but agreed to do it. They were all a delight!!! I felt like I had known them for years by the first half hour!! That’s one of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. You just meet the most wonderful people! I love these ladies. They know how to laugh and have fun and love to stamp!!! My kind of girls!!!

Let me introduce you to them.:

IMG_3892

Here they are showing off their cards they just made. They got really creative on me and that is so fabulous as I encourage people to elaborate on my designs….I learn so much from just observing.

…and here they are working on their second project………….fun!!!IMG_3891

Thanks for being such a gracious Hostess Maria…..it was a BLAST!

If any of you would like to hostess a workshop in your home just let me know!!

Asian Artistry

Good Morning Everyone! Well to another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411.

This week the sketch is a bit different, I hope you will play along.

Here is the sketch:

ssc143

…and my interpretation.

asian artistry 411 sketch 143 002

Actually I got a lovely card from my friend Rose Ann for my Birthday that inspired me for this. She used the same set and the bird was so-o-o-o cool I had to try it myself. Rose Ann’s was  more of a teal, so I decided I couldn’t case her entirely so I’d do red, after all it does give it an Asian flair.

So I inked up my image with two markers…..One red and one Always Artichoke. Did the Bird in Red and the leave in Artichoke. Huffed on it to reactivate the ink and stamped it on Watercolor Paper. then I blended the color with my Aqua Painter.

I had a scrap of Watercolor Paper left so took the symbol stamp and stamped it to create the Vertical strip on the card…then adhered some ribbon to next to it. I used 1/4” black grosgrain but used two strips of it. The bow is actually done in Black Satin as I had it sitting on my desk and it was done…it compliments it well. I then stamped the dragonfly in Versamark on the left open side of the card just to give it dimension and a bit of texture.

The dimensions for the card are:

Red base 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”….Black Mat 3 1/4 x 2 1/8 and the watercolor paper is 2 x 3 1/8…the scrap was pieced together under the image as it wasn’t long enough. So don’t throw those away!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all participate in the challenge this week..…..and as always…..

Little Flower Flower For All Seasons

My little card share for today is done for a challenge that Karen, one of my Team Members posts to our group every Sunday. This weeks he challenged us with Only Orange…..tough one for me.

I selected Flower for All Seasons for this and hope you like it.

Flower for all Seasons Only Orange 002

The Very Vanilla was run through the my Big Shot twice….once to cut my scallop Square Card and once to emboss it with my cute little dots that I’m so in love with.

Stamped my image on Watercolor paper and colored with my Watercolor pencils and Aqua Painter. See the Only Orange in the center and on the mat!!!! Phew….got that in. I also used three little circles of chocolate chip and added some Crystal Effects to them to make them shiny and look like Brads (Faux Brads if you will). Tied my little bow and Voila my card share for the day.

Thanks so much for stopping by and if I can assist you with any of your stamping needs don’t hesitate to contact me. I’d love to help you out. You can also order on line 24/7 at my online store

My Little Cupcake!

Good Morning everyone and Welcome to another Sketch Challenge from Stampin 411

If it’s Saturday…it’s challenge time.!!! Here is the sketch:

ssc142 …..and my interpretation…..

The More the Merrier Cupcake 004

Don’t you just love this little cupcake? I had fun with this one. Thanks Selene for the challenge I had to think on this for a bit. I knew I wanted to use one little cupcake and make it feel like Spring. What do you think, think I accomplished it?

The base of the card is cut at 5 1/2x 1/2

The Pale Plum mat is cut a 3” x 2 1/4” for the Polka Dots (made with a pencil eraser)with a image piece of 2 7/8 x  2 1/8

The Pale Plum Mat for the Checked piece (made with the Solid Striped Stamp. stamp twice going opposite ways.) is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and the checked piece at 2 3/8 x 2 3/8

The Pale Plum Dotted Strip is 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 that piece is run through the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and I attached a scalloped Border made with just a scrap.

I punched two Scallop Squares one in Pale Plum and used my 1 1/4” Punch to cute my checked piece. I then cut the Certainly Celery Square in half and extended it beyond the Pale Plum Scalloped Square to add a bit of color. My Little Cupcake is from a Hostess Set called. “The More the Merrier”. So cute I love these little cupcakes and hope you do too!

I finally topped it off with some of our new 5/8 Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon. It’s so silky! then did my little Ribbon Treatment with a large white brad.

I hope you find a little time to play with us this coming week. We’d love to see your interpretation too!

…as always….

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!!!

Swaps are coming in….

Good Moring Everyone,

I wanted to share the first of several swaps that are due into me this month from our “Swap Team”.

We always do two themes and the first is a Birthday Theme from Sharon Field. Isn't it pretty? I love that little flower from Of The Earth. It’s one of our Hostess Sets.

flight of the butterfly and Sharon's swap 001

The second card is also from Sharon and is our Emboss Resist Themed Card:

flight of the butterfly and Sharon's swap 003

The image piece would not come out clear for me….not sure if dropping my camera has anything to do with that or if it’s just being finicky on me. The image piece is the Emboss Resist. Black and any kind of pink is so cool.

Well I hope you enjoyed my shares today and if you would like to see more stop by tomorrow for some more shares!

Flight of the Butterfly

Good Moring Everyone,

Every month I have a class called “Start to Finish” It’s where you come and learn hot to “cut” your cardstock and do the whole card from Start to Finish! I give handouts with color pictures of the cards and written directions including all measurements. It has been a success here for my customers…..as sometimes cutting can get confusing. It features the “Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set” (so cute) used along with our Butterfly Punch (easy peasy) and topped off with our Gorgeous “Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper”. Did you notice the scalloped edge above the Designer paper? It’s done with our new Scallop Edge Punch that is earned FREE during Sale-a-Bration!!! Sale-a-Bration is over on the 31st so don’t delay if you want to earn FREE product. You can visit my online store and shop in your jammies if you want.

Here is one of the cards they will be doing:

flight of the butterfly and Sharon's swap 004

So someone wins the Hostess Set and Someone wins the Hostess $$ (with orders qualifying for a workshop). You don’t have to be present to win…just call or email me with your order to be placed in the running.

Greenhouse Garden

Good Morning Everyone!

Well it’s another week of color challenge from my team member Karen. She has selected Yo Yo Yello for our team to play with. Kind of a stretch for me but I did it. Wowee it’s bright. Really woke me up this morning!!!

Greenhouse Garden Yoyo Yellow 002

The card base is Yoyo Yellow and the mats are Basic Black. I used one of my favorite stamp sets “Green House Garden” and stamped in Yoyo Yellow and Orchid Opulence for the two step stampin’ part. I think that toned it down a bit. The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly set and I think sets if off pretty well.  Of course I did my little Ribbon Candy Bow and Rhinestone Brad for the center.

If you’d like to order any of these Stampin’ Up! products don’t hesitate to contact me or go directly to my online store to order. Don’t forget it’s Sale-a-Bration and you still have  a little time to take advantage of the Free Sale-a-Bration Products. You can view the products on the left sidebar in the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a …….

Pendant Park Emboss Resist

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend. I wanted to share a little card I did with the Pendant Park Stamp Set. I hope you like it.

I did a little “Emboss Resist” with this card. The tree was stamped in Versamark and right into my Always Artichoke Classic Pad, then stamped onto my card stock and embossed with clear embossing powder. I did the same for the bench only used the Versamark and then Chocolate Chip.

Selene's Card and my swap team cards and Gina's Card 009

I used wedges of sponges for the coloring. Starting with Creamy Caramel on the bottom and then Soft Suede. Then I brought in a bit of Sage Shadow for the background water image. The sky was done with Bashful Blue.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you’ll come back soon.

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!!!

Crazy for Cupcakes Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for yet another sketch Challenge from Stamping 411…Selene has come up with yet another wonderful sketch for us to play along with.

Here is the sketch:

ssc141

…and my interpretation…..

Sketch 141 001

I showcased the Crazy for Cupcakes set and colored with my Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter.

The Regal Rose Card Stock was cut at 4 1/2 x 11 and folded in half. That is the card base. I ran it through my Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder but not all the way. I wanted to leave some blank for my sentiment.

the striped strip is 1 x 4 and stamped with Regal Rose with my Solid Stripes Stamp. My mat layer is Chocolate Chip and cut at 2 7/8 x 3 5/8 and the image piece is 2 3/4 x 3 1/2

I stamped the image in Chocolate Chip and colored. I then added some Crystal Effects tot he Cupcake Stand and the Balloons to give a bit of shine to. The Balloon strings we drawn free hand with my markers using the fine tip. Oh! Lets not forget the cherries they are shiny too as I added just a bit of Crystal effects to them too.

That’s it for today. I hope that you will go on over to……..Stamping 411 and see what the other Operators have done and also play along.

I appreciate you stopping by and hope you have a …..

Spring Song

Good Morning Everyone,

I’d like to share a card I made featuring the “Spring Song” Stamp Set. This was a color challenge from Karen who is one of my group members. She choose the color of Gable Green and the first thing I thought of was a Hummingbird…so here you have it.

I used the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and the Eyelet Border Punch for some detail and character to the card then colored my image with my Aqua Painter and Watercolor Wonder Crayons. The Ribbon is Black Satin (I love that Ribbon) and  it’s adorned with a Rhinestone Brad. That’s it. I’d love if you would do a card using Gable Green and send it to me ….I’ll post it here on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back real soon.

Sweet Pea Meets Happy Moments

Good Morning Everyone.

I’d like to share a little card that I forgot to post. This card was done for an organized swap I was in.

photo

The base of the card is run through my Big Shot using the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Then I used the Scallop Trim Border that you can earn for free for the mat I’ve created. I also paired it with the Scallop Trim Corner Punch which is available in the Occasions Mini. With a little practice you can make borders like this.

I then measured the mat and cut a piece of the adorable Sweet Pea DSP to place inside the mat. It was so hard trying to figure out which one to cut. That was determined by what I had in mind and that was a vase made our Jumbo Oval Punch….run through the Finial press and heat embossed with 2-3- layers of Clear Embossing Powder. This reminded me of a Vase my Grandmother used to have that was a white crackle of sorts. I popped it up on Dimensionals and cut my flowers to place behind, that’s it.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will come back and visit often.

If I can be of any assistance to you…please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’d love to fill you stamping needs. You can shop online at my store 24/7….in your jammies even!!!
