More Greenhouse Garden

Good Moring Everyone,

Did everyone have a great time on the Bog Tour? It was fun wasn’t it? I will announce a winner tomorrow so tune in to see who’s getting the Blog Candy.

Here’s a simple little card I did using (yet again) the Greenhouse Garden Stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. I’m having a difficult time getting this set back on the shelf…..I love it. It’s so easy to use and just plain fun. If you would like to order this set you can do so at my online store 24/7, you won’t regret owning this one.

2011

I have used our new In-colors with these flowers again. The Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, and Melon Mambo…aren’t they just to die for? I love them. Wasn’t sure at first but have changed my mind. They are a must have! I was out shopping yesterday and can’t tell you how many clothing items I saw using these colors…..it was unreal. So Stampin’ Up! you are right on target as usual.

That’s it for today….I appreciate all the wonderful comments you have left over the last three day tour and look forward to hearing from you again.

Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

Royal Blog Tour

Hi Everyone and welcome to my part of the “Royal Blog Tour” . I’m very excited as this is my very first Blog Tour and I thrilled to be on it. I signed up to do a few things with the “Autumn Days” Stamp Set. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Here we go:

This first card is done showcasing the Pheasants in the set. The base of the card is Basic Black and is cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2”. The second layer is Crushed Currie and is 3 3/4” x 5”. The Dusty Durango piece is cut to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8” and I stamped the Inspired by Nature background stamp in Versamark for some added texture. The next layer is 2 7/8” x 3 5/8” of White Glossy and is what the image piece is on. The wheat is done by first loading your stamp with Versamark and then Soft Suede, then onto the cs and clear emboss. hint: did you know you can emboss any color simply by stamping in Versamark first? I then brayered with Soft Suede, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango (actually borrowed this color and brayering idea combo from my friend Selene) . I stamped the Pheasants with Chocolate Chip Craft and clear embossed on Crushed Curry and the other on Dusty Durango and cut out. They are then popped up with Dimensionals. Oh!!! Don’t forget to mask your moon by using a circle punch and a post it note and sponge on your color of choice.

I hope you like this one….comments are always welcome and especially necessary if you’d like a chance to win my Blog Candy!

Scroll down for more…..

Autumn Days 003

This next card uses Lots of Circles and the Pinecone Image. How’s this for an extra Special Holiday Card? I used my Circle Scissors from Stampin’ Up! for the various circles cut from Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. I love this color. I wanted it to be Elegant and so decided to color some of our White Organdy Ribbon to match. You do this by using a sponge dauber and your ink pad. It works beautifully! I hope you like this…don’t for get to leave a comment…

now one more share for you……scroll down…………

Autumn Days Pinecones -2 003

Here is my final card for the tour……this one features the little leaf image. I stamped the image with Versamark on Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, and (my favorite) Soft Suede, YUM!!! they cut the leaves out (not for the faint of heart) and placed them on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock that I had dry embossed with a circle template I had made. Kind of like little platforms for my leaves. I added the reverse side of our Polka Dot Ribbon in Soft Suede and matted it on Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and the base is of course Soft Suede. I thought it looked a bit plain (so did my downline Sharon) and I decided to add dots with my Soft Suede Marker around the circles. I think it’s just the right touch, don’t you?

Autumn Days Leaves Dotted

Don’t forget to comment on my blog if you’d like to be entered into my Blog Candy Give-a-way! Stampin 411 Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Boy this week has just flown by…..it’s time for another Sketch Challenge from Stamping 411

I just got this set in the mail and have fallen in love with it. It is so easy to use. It’s called “Greenhouse Garden” and it’s from Stampin’ Up! of course!

Green house Garde white background 065

I did a Whisper White Fold over 5- 1/2” x 8- 1/2 “ then my white mat is cut to 3 -3/4” x 5” and distressed on the edges. My next mat uses our new Crushed Curry Card stock and is cut to 2 1/2” x 3 3/4”. I then layered on another white layer measuring 2- 3/8” x 4- 7/8” . I stamped my images on scraps of Whisper white and cut them out. The ease of this particular stamp set is outstanding. It’s a 2-Step Stamp Set and so-so easy. I don’t there are any mistakes with this one!

I finished it off with my Square Rhinestone Brads and some Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon with a button in the center.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making this one. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to stop by Stamping 411 to see what the other Operators have done with this sketch…you might even want to play along.

Stamping 411 Sketch #108

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying my new blog design....

If you'd like to know more about Tee....she had a "Blogs by Tee" link on the left column of my blog. Check it out. She's fabulous!

I'd like to welcome you to the Stamping 411 Sketch challenge #108

ssc108

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I used some of our fabulous Soft Suede cardstock for the card base and some Very Vanilla for the image piece. I made a template of circles to do some dry embossing and my cutter to add a few (3) scored lines for some character.

I used the Circle Circus Set for the image and puched them out with my 3/4” circle punch. I then popped them up with a dimensional. I decided it needed a little more so I doodled with my Soft Suede Marker around the edges and stamped the image from “Three Little Words at the bottom. That’s it!

I hope you’ll go on over to www.stamping411.blogspot.com and play along.

On a Pedestal

Just a cut little card I’ll be doing at a workshop this weekend (I think). It's  from the set “On a Pedestal” and is so easy to work with. I’m loving this Melon Mambo Color…it’s so fun!

I used a combination of ink colors. Soft Suede, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry. Don’t you just love those names? I dry embossed the background with a polka dot Texturz plate but unfortunately you can’t see it.

I guess that’s it for today….come back soon, and as always…..

    Humor in High Heels

    Good Morning Everyone,

Here’s a cute little card I did with the “Humor in High Heel’s” Stamp Set.

    Humor_in_High_Heels_003_thumb[38]

I wanted to use some of our new Melon Mambo In Color Cardstock and trim in Black. I think the little purses are just darling and because it’s an open image I decided to create little purses with different looks. Every woman needs more than one purse, right?

I made this one up using the saying from the set that says: “I didn’t forget your Birthday, I’m just fashionably late!”……too cute!

If you’d like information about our In-Colors or any of our products I hope you contact me. I’d love to help.

    Le Jardin Botanique

Isn't’ that name pretty! So I figured make it a pretty feminine card.

So, as you guessed I used the Le Jardin Botanique Stamp Set to make this delicate card. I also used Oval All and the Oval Scallop Punch made just for this set.

    Start_to_Finish_Class_July_2009_002_thumb[13]

I used my favorite Whisper White cardstock and brought out the color with Rich Razzleberry, one of our new In-Colors.

I stamped the image in Always Artichoke and colored in with re-inkers using and aqua painter. Then highlighting with my in-color markers.

I hope you enjoy it. I did this card for one of my “Start to Finish Classes” which I have once a month. It’s where I give you the idea and a print out of the dimensions, picture and how to and you do the card from Start to Finish. So you’re learning how to cut properly and put it together on your own.

It was just an idea I had to help my customers so that they could take the product they purchase form me and feel comfortable using it at home. I think they like this idea. Did I mention there is always a Mystery Hostess….well two. One for the $$ and one for the Hostess Set(s).

So if you’re in the neighborhood and want to attend I’d love to have you join in. Just check my schedule here

In the meantime….have a Stampinglee Good Day!

    Ocean Commotion

Here’s a cute card showcasing the “Ocean Commotion Set” from Stampin’ Up!

    Ocean Commotion 002

I have used the the new In-Color “Bermuda Bay” and our old standby Tempting Turquoise. I used a texturz plate on the two colors and then stamped my bubbles and filigree (probably should have stamped first). The fish was embossed with Black Embossing Powder and colored in with the Bermuda Bay marker. The circles were a snap as I used my new circle die and my 1 3/4” punch to quickly create circles that nest nicely. Of course I had to mat everything in black to give it a crisp look.

I will be doing this card at a workshop toady at Sharon’s….hope they like it.

    Stamping 411 Sketch challenge

    Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge.

    Here is this weeks Sketch:

    ssc107

    and my interpretation.

    ssc107_2_thumb[15]

For this very easy sketch I used some of our new Melon Mambo cardstock for the base 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”. the next layer is Rich Razzleberry and is cut to 3 3/4” x 5” and the last layer is some of our delicious Designer Series Paper called “Razzleberry Lemonade”, it’s cut to 3 5/8” x 4 7/8” . I attached the DSP to the Rich Razzleberry with Mono-adhesive. I needed something else for the card so I pulled out some of my white 1/4” Grosgrain Ribbon and colored it with my Melon Mambo Marker to have it match so perfectly (make sure to only use the side of the brush tip so not to ruin your point, and color both sides). Wrap your ribbon around those layers and adhere to the back with a bit of Mono –adhesive. I then popped that layer up with our Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals.

I then pulled out my three Oval punches, my Scallop Oval, Large Oval and Small Oval to make the oval layers. I stamped the saying from our new set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. (hint: stamp you saying on white cardstock first and then punch holding your punch upside down so you can see where you are punching. that way you’re saying will always be perfectly centered.

Last but not least I added some flat back pearls to the ribbon to dress it up a bit. I think it added just the right touch. what do you think?

Thant’s it for today. Remember that we would love to have you play along with this challenge over at stamping 411. You will have from Saturday July 11th—17th to submit your entry.

    Stamping411 Sketch Challenge

    Good Morning Everyone,

Happy 4th of July to you and yours!!!!

It’s that time of week again. time for the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. If you’d like to play along come on over to www.stamping411.blogspot.com on July 4th-10th

    Sketch #106

    ssc106

    and my interpretation……………..

    New Cards 006

This card features the Eastern Blooms Stamp Set. I partnered it with some of our new In-Color Designer Series paper and In-Colors. Sometimes that is all you need to create a whole new look is a different color…..here’s another example…..Easterns Bloom Swap for Sherrie

So as you can see I’ve used to different base colors with the same design for different looks. The top card will actually be one of my swap cards for an organized swap I’m in for convention. In it I used the Rich Razzleberry Cardstock cut to 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”. I then cut a small strip of Designer Series paper Called Razzleberry Lemonade 1" 3/8” x 5 1/2”, I punched squares of different colors (all in colors) and white squares for the images. I used our 1 1/2” and 1 3/8” square punches. Now the ribbon…..we don’t carry Crushed Curry 1/4” Grosgrain ribbon, but you can make it!!! Simply take your new Crushed Curry Marker and using the edge of the brush tip go over the ribbon on both sides….so easy and matches perfectly!!!! Oh by the way, on the white card I ran the front of the base through my Big Shot using a Texturz plate.

That’s it for today, thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the other artists over at stamping 411 we’d love to have you play along!
