I Cream Sundae Open House (Sneak Peak)

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you’re having a good day. Yesterday I had an “Ice Cream Sundae” Open House and it was so much fun!!! I had about a dozen wonderful ladies join me for a “Sneak Peek” of the new catalog. We just went nuts trying to decide what we NEEDED to have come July 1st!!!!

That’s right….New Catalog July 1st!!! Yippee!!!!

Anyway we enjoyed visiting and of course the wonderful Ice Cream Sundae’s!!! I’m not going to say but somebody had two!!!! She’s so cute!!!

Oh So Sweet

Good Morning Everyone,

Here’s a sweet little addition to the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge for the week. Doesn’t it look good enough to eat?

For my rendition of this sketch I used one of our ne Stamp Sets called “On a Pedestal” . Along with that I just had to use some of our new In color Cardstock. It’s called Melon Mambo, isn’t it GORGEOUS??? anyway here is what I did:

I used my Polka Dot Background and stamped it onto the Melon Mambo using White Craft Ink. I then cut a two strips of Chocolate Chip at 1” x 4 1/4” and used my scallop border punch on it and dotted each scallop with my white gel pen.

Next I cut a piece of Whisper White 1 1/4” x 4 1/4” and stamped it side by side with the cute little sweet stamp that is in the set with Melon Mambo Ink. using a Stamp-a-ma-jig would come in handy for that.

To finish the card off I punched a scallop circle in Chocolate Chip using our scallop Circle Punch and and dotted the scallops to match the scalloped border, attached a 1 3/8 circle in white and then stamped my little ‘Truffle” on white and cutting it out. to color the Truffle I used my new Stampin’ Up! In color Melon Mambo Marker along with my Chocolate Chip Marker. (Once you apply the color with markers, make sure to huff on it to remoisten the ink before stamping). I then applied a bit of Crystal Effects to the top of the Truffle and Voila! Instant Cuteness!!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

Here is another card using the “Lots of Bots Set from the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

I’ve again used some of our new In-Colors, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry. Very cool colors!!!

This was actually the swap I did for my Jacksonville STARZ Downline Meeting last night. I asked everyone participating to follow this sketch from www.stamping411.blogspot.com sketch #101 (Thanks Selene).

Lots of Bots

Good Morning Everyone!

I’ve been so busy with the end of the year for Stampin’ Up! and preparing for the New Catalog in about a week.

I’d like to give you a little preview of a cute little set called: “Lots of Bots:

I wanted to showcase not only the cute set but also some of our new In-Colors. Featured here are Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry. I added a circle of Summer Sun in the background.

I don’t know if you can see it in the photo but the Robot is actually shiny silver. I had some silver shelf liner sitting in my office and used Black Stazon and it stamped just fine. I then cut out the round of the body and adhered it to the image. He’s kind of a weird/cute Robot Dude, but my Grandson is going to love him.

Heartfelt Thanks Sketch Card

Good Morning Everyone!

We have another Sketch today from Stamping 411

It’s so fun playing along with these sketches…..why not give it a try.

Here is the sketch:

I used the Heartfelt Thanks Set from Stampin’ Up! It’s one of my favorites and I haven’t had it out to play for a long time. I used Regal Rose for the card base and black and white cardstock.

I thought En Francais’ was the perfect touch for this elegant card which is on the strip behind the image. I colored in the flower using blender pens and pastels for that soft look. I used the Just a Note stamp from “Elegant Greetings” and the “Itty Bitty’s” Stamp Set for the speckles around the flower. I don’t know what I would do without my Itty Bitty’s!!!

Card Dimensions:

Base: 4 1/4" x 11"

Black Mats: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" and 3" x 4 1/4"

White Image Pieces: 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" and 2 3/4" x 4 "

Tip: Itty Bitty’s really fills in and make images pop a bit more…fills in spaces that just need a little something and makes it look more real. Can you tell I love it?

Pocket Silhouettes Sketch Card

Good Morning Everyone!

It’s that time of week again….time for the Stamping 411 Sketch card.

This week I decided to do something not quite me but still crisp and clean….just a bit more contemporary. I had actually seen this image stamped somewhere and I just can’t recall where it was (please let me know so I can give you credit). I wanted to apply it to this sketch with some of our Rockabilly Designer Series Paper. I think the result is simple and smashing.

.......and here is my interpretation:

I used the Pocket Silhouettes and stamped the image with White Stazon. I then colored on it with our Stampin’ Pastels. I attached it to mats of Basic Black and Certainly Celery Cardstock with a Rhinestone Brad. In the background are the two strips of our Black tone on tone stripe Designer Series paper called “Rockabilly”. If you’d like to order any of these products make sure to visit my online store here. The Dimensions for the card are:

White Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Black Rockabilly DSP: 1"x 3 3/4" and 1" x 1 3/4"

Certainly Celery: 2" x 3"

Black Mat: 1 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Transparency: 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Stamp Image from Pocket Silhouettes in White Stazon Ink. then take your Pastels and select colors darker than what you desire as it will come out lighter. Take a sponge tip make up applicator and rub color over the Stazon. I also included a bit of color to the black mat.

I used the 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches for the sentiment.

Heartfelt Thanks in Tangerine

Good Morning Everyone,

I’d like to share a card I did today with  the “Heartfelt Thanks” set from Stampin’ Up! #114980 at $32.95. This is a Two-Step Stamp Set in that you have a solid image and a line image of the same design. It really makes  stamping a Breeze. You stamp one image and then stamp the other on top of it to add texture. As seen below I only did the center flower with both the solid and line image and popped it up.

I used Tangerine Tango Ink and Paper and stamped off to achieve the lighter images. A texturz plate was used to create the bottom texture and the scallop circle#2 die was used in my Big Shot to create the scallop circle and the image piece was cut with my Circle Scissors.

We will be doing this project at my Stamp Camp on June 19th and 20th. Hope to see you there.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share some cards with you today from my very Dear Friend Cheryl. Cheryl lives in Atlanta (my old stomping grounds) and she was my First partner in crime as we discovered Stamping together. We both like to craft and one day we were in a Craft Store searching for a new craft to try. We were in the Stamp aisle when we saw this woman with a Beautiful handmade card in her hands. I of course questioned her as to how she did it. her response was to give me a lady's name who she stamped with who just happened to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I asked if I could have her name and number and called her immediately, and asked if I could book a home workshop. I had the party , invited my Friends and had a blast!!! We all fell in love with this new craft (to us at least). So Cheryl and I are still stamping and having fun doing it. I became a Demonstrator shortly after leaving Atlanta....I just missed it so.... and my stamping buddy of course !!!!

So without further ado here are just a few of Cheryl's cards...and by the way she followed the Sketch challenge over at http://www.stamping411.blogspot.com/ . Aren't they wonderful?

Fifth Avenue Floral Sketch Card

Hi Everyone,

Time for another Sketch from Stamping 411, I hope you enjoyed last weeks challenge and I know you’re eager to see more so here we go…..

Stamping 411 Sketch  

Here is my interpretation of this sketch. I showcased the “Fifth Avenue Floral” Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! The top strip is some of our Designer Series Paper in Tangerine Tango…..I’ve matted the flowers on a Tangerine Tango mat as well. I love the crisp clean look of this……yet is sizzling “HOT” isn’t it? I colored in the flower images with an Aqua Painter and re-inker of Tangerine Tango. don’t forget to use Stazon Ink when using water…that way the black won’t smear into the colored areas.

Watercolored Rose

Good Morning Everyone!

I'd like to share a card I did with “Fifth Avenue Floral”. I learned this technique from Patty Bennett. Check out her blog she has all sorts of cool things on her blog.

Anyway I have used some of our Raspberry Tart Designer paper for the bottom of the card. Regal Rose 5/8” Ribbon and a Kiwi Kiss Brad. I also used out Little Leaves Sizzlit Die in Kiwi Kiss. I then texturized the white base front of the card to give it a bit of texture before assembling it. I hope you like it.

Don’t forget the Kiwi Kiss will be gone by the end of the month if not sooner as will the Designer Series Paper.

I will be doing this card for my camp at the end of the month. Hope you can come.
