Christmas Punch Card

Good Morning Everyone!

Time for another Sketch challenge from Stamping 411.

I hope you’ll take the time to play along this week.

Here is the sketch:

…and here is my interpretation…..

I had fun with this one……

I used the Five Petal Punch form Stampin’ Up!….I love this punch, I think it makes the best flowers. I punched the flowers and sponged the edges of the flowers with Real Red Ink, just to darken the edges a bit.

I then took my fingers and slightly creased the center of each petal forming it into a curved flower. I stacked tow together and attached with a glue dot to the card. For the centers of the flower I used my 1/16th hole punch and  punched a variety of scrap paper I had lying around. The punch has a little storage compartment for the pieces which made it really easy for me. I added some Crystal Effects into the center of the flowers and added the punched pieces to resemble the inner part of the flower. I added some rhinestone brads,  ribbon and a Sentiment from the “Four the Holidays” Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! and Voila!!! The only thing stamped is the sentiment. I think it’s very festive…I hope you think so too!

Terri’s Halloween and Thank You Bag

Good Morning Everyone,

I’m still getting back in the groove after vacation. I had a workshop last night with a wonderful Group of girls. My friend Terri was there and of course she dazzled us with her creations, yet again. She brought me a Halloween Card and a Thanks You Bag for attending her Candle Party she had a few weeks back.

So I thought I’d share those with you today. Isn’t this a great card?

….and here is the Thank You Bag of Goodies she gave all of her guests with they’re candle orders. How cute is this???

I guess that’s it for today….except that I want to thank Terri for being such a good friend and for just being her!!!

Baroque Motif

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome to my Blog and another Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge.

This was a very interesting challenge for me as I wanted to do something so different for me. I hope you enjoy it.

Here is the sketch:

…and my interpretation…..

I wanted a really “Modern” Christmas Card for this Challenge. So here is what I did.

I cut my fold-over to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

The Basic Gray Layer is stamped with the design from the Baroque Motif Set from Stampin’ Up!…sort of resembles a snowflake, right? It measure 2 1/2 x 5 1/2

The next layer is the Real Red Cardstock behind the paid I made and it measures 2 3/4 x 2 7/8

The Whisper White cardstock on top is cut at 2 5/8 x 2 3/4

To get pattern of the line I drew with my Basic Gray and on top drew with my Versamarker then heat set with clear embossing powder. So all of those lines are embossed with marker and Versamarker…cool, huh?

My image piece is cut at 2x2 and is stamped in Versamark first and then Basic Gray….so both inks have to be on the stamp before you stamp…..then pour on a little Clear Embossing Powder and Heat set. It’s so cool IRL!! I matted it onto a 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 piece of Real Red Cardstock after I added my Rhinestone Brad and popped up the image piece with dimensionals. I also did the same technique with the sentiment.

Holy Triptych

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Welcome to another day of stamping and viewing my sketch challenge for Stamping 411. I sure hope you’ll play along.

Here is the Sketch:

I’ve showcased the Holy Triptych Stamp Set for this one.

I love this Angel and especially love her in Sage Shadow. Isn’t it soft and pretty? I just love it. I did use Watercolor Paper and ink refills to color with, using my aqua painter. I really enjoy coloring that way.

The Card Stock is Shimmer White for the base and the embossed piece…then we have Sage Shadow. I glittered the center of the flowers on the piece that was embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder. Gee, do you think I like that folder??? I also glittered the wings too with our fabulous Dazzling Diamonds. I used some or our gorgeous white Satin Ribbon and our Designer Label Punch to cut our my sentiment. Stamped that in Sage Shadow and dressed it up with a single rhinestone. That’s it, isn't she beautiful?

Buenos Dias

Hey Everyone…no stamping today…..just sunny hello from Playa Del Carmen.

This picture was taken last night from our balcony as the sun was going down. It’s a huge resort and quite lovely.

Guess everyone is still asleep…the sun has come up and it’s very quiet outside….to many Margarita’s I’ll bet!!

Another view of the resort…away from the Ocean. Notice there is still no sign of life…..hmmmmmmm….I think I am right, too many Margarita’s !!!

I guess that’s it for today form Sunny Playa Del Carmen….keep watching as I will return with a Mexican Special that might knock your socks off!  Ay! Caramba!!!

Lovely as a Tree

Good Morning Everyone!!

It has been so long since I’ve used this set. It’s still my all time favorite. I’ve decided to use it today for the Sketch Challenge over at Stamping 411.

Here is the sketch:

 

and here is my interpretation with Lovely as a Tree.

I have used Very Vanilla and Soft Suede Card Stock. I stamped the images with Soft Suede and colored in with a Blender Pen and my Pastel Chalks.

I used the Teeny Tiny Messages for the Sentiment.

I also used the Finial Press Embossing Folder as well to give this card some texture. I hope you like it.

Patterned Pines and Guest Stamper

Good Morning Everyone,

I have a special treat for you today. I have a Guest Stamper who would like to show you what she has done with our new Hostess Set, Patterned Pines.

I’d like to introduce you to Natalie she is four years old and just a delight. I met Natalie about 3-4 weeks ago when her Mommy had a Stampin’ Up! workshop for me. I could tell that she was very interested in stamping and was thrilled when her Mommy shared these pictures with me.

…….and the final result!!! (Look at that smile and those eyes!!)

She’s amazing…..this is her first card!!! This was her original design done by herself…..I’d say we have born Stamper on our hands wouldn’t you?

Ornaments

Here is my white on white Ornament Card. I used Shimmer White Cardstock by Stampin’ Up!

This card was so easy and fun to do. I used my Stampin’ Up! Ornament Punch to do the ornaments…..and cut the ornaments in half with my cutter . The lines were drawn with a ruler and my Melon Mambo Marker and my little snowflakes were done by hand (I know they are not the best). This is just my trial card as a design I’ve had in my head for awhile. The little rhinestones are from a local craft store and the Sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! called “Four the Holidays” and is a great Stamp Set with four delightful sentiments for the Holiday Season. I hope you enjoy it.

Serene Snowflake

Good Morning Everyone!

It’s so nice to be back/ I’ve been super busy with my business and haven’t had a lot of time for designing.

………………but we all know what Saturday is and that’s the Stamping411 Challenge. Here is Sketch 119

….and now my interpretation…………..

So without further ado I have showcased Serene Snowflakes to do my card in. I’ve also used the Christmas  Cocoa Designer Series Paper. It’s GORGEOUS!!!

One thing I did a bit differently was to stamp the snowflake twice on Vellum Card Stock with Gold Encore and emboss with clear Embossing Powder. Then I cut those cuties out…oh my!! I stamped the image on Whisper White and attached the cut out images on top with a Rhinestone Brad.

I ran the front of the card through my Big Shot with the Petals-a-Plenty (I just love that) and attached a strip of whisper white and then the DSI. I punched my ovals with the small and the large ovals and used the sentiment from Many Merry Messages.
