Reverse Soot Stamping and Boo to you!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!
As promised here are the Directions for my "Happiness is a Journey" card. the technique is called "Reverse Soot Stamping".
1-Stamp your image with Versamark onto glossy Cardstock.
2-Hold image over lit candle (I use a taper candle as the wick is longer) touch flame to paper and move constantly to not burn it but to well soot it.
3-Take a paper towel or soft rag/cloth and wipe off. That's it!
Then just trim your image and mat as you like.

Here are two cards I made for my two grandchildren, Chase and Kayla. I know these have been around but I couldn't resist not making them.

Have a Happy Halloween everyone.....and as always,
Have a Stampinglee Good Day!

What a Difference a Turn Can Make

Good Morning Everyone,
Isn't this top card pretty. I did the bottom card at my camp last week and Roberta decided to turn it around. I love it this way, maybe even better than the origial below.
I just wanted to share what a little thing like changing the direction of the card can do.
Thanks Roberta for putting your spin on this, it's just lovely!

Gift Card Holder Tins

Good Morning Everyone!

I've had a really busy week and it continues to be busy. So I will quickly show you three Christmas Gift Card Tins I made today. I'm making these for Sunday. I'm doing an event for Breast Cancer Awareness and all of my profits for that day will go to that cause. So if you are out in the Jacksonville area on Sunday between 1pm & 5pm, please stop by and see me at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. It's such a good cause. I will be selling Gift Certificates as well, so it's a great time to purchase a gift for a friend. Hope to see you there.

Good Morning Everyone!
Here are some more cards from my downline swap the other night. The card above is Eva's card. Don't you just love it? It makes me smile. So clean and crisp and cute.....great job Eva!!

Oh, this little snoman from "Mr. Twigster" is hilarious and so cute. Christina made this darling card and added some dimension by crimping the background. Too-too stinkin' cute.

This pretty card is from Brenna. Brenna did a demo for us on how to do this technique. She applied the chalks over the Versamarked image to achive this look which is much prettier in person, as it is a few different colors. Which she achieved by dabbing on chalk with the little chalk applicator and sealing with a bit of hairspray. Great job Brenna!!!

Oh, and this is Cheryl's Card. Isn't it pretty. I love how she used the 1 3/4 punch to create the window. How about the beautiful new in colors?? Beautiful card Cheryl!

Is this not the cutest two-tone truck? Gina made this and brought in a lot of Fall colors and Textured card stock. Very, very festive and cute. Thanks Gina!
Well that's it for today. I'd say my downline came through (as usual) with some fabulous cards. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Good Morning Everyone,
I'd like to share some of the incredible talent of some of my 1st level downline that attended last nights meeting. The card above was done by Janet White. Isn't it pretty? I love the Pink and silver together and her little trick with the scallop punch, she even stamped on the ribbon!!! Awesome job. Janet has some wonderful things to share on her blog....just click on her name to visit it.
This card was done by Susan Best using the Upsy Daisy Set. This card is Gorgeous! Susan is relatively new to blogging but has some great cards on her blog, make sure to check it out by clicking on her name.

This is another great card by Sharon Field I just love what she has done with this " Winter Post " Set. I hope she will let me borrow it!!! I've seen other goodies she has done with this set, so do visit her blog to see, just click on her name and it will take you there.

OMG!!! When my downline and friend Laura (from South Carolina) came through the door with these I almost fell over. Aren't they just adorable? She made us each a purse and matching card and envelope. That's a WOW!!! Thanks Laura for sharing so much with us. She used the " Season of Joy" Set.
Tomorrow I will share the rest of my Level 1 Swaps and some Level 2 Swaps with you but thought you would enjoy these wonderful creations for now. I can't wait to share the rest.
Thanks for visiting and hope you'll come back soon.

Susie's Halloween Card

Good Morning Everyone!
Look what I got today. I just love it when people think enough of you to send a card, but a home made card, WOW!!! I love it!
Susie and Ron sent this to me for Halloween. Ron, did you have anything to do with this? I'm thinking not, but you never know he's been hanging out with us for a while now.....hmmm, I wonder.

Didn't Susie do a great job with her card? I would expect nothing less from Susie, she is a fabulous stamper and ardent scrap booker. I'd love for her to give me a lesson or two!!

Anyway thanks for making my day with your card....it's such a great feeling to open you snail mail box and know that somebody thought about you today!!!
Don't' put off sending that card to someone you love.....make they're day too!

Nostalgic Happiness is a Journey

Good Morning Everyone!
I am so delighted to share this card with you. I was sitting in my office about a week ago and I wanted to try this technique called "Reverse Sooting".
I purchased this Train Stamp "Happiness is a Journey" just to try it with. You see my husband Grandfather (Daddy John ) was an Engineer on the first train going into Key West form Miami many years ago. Daddy John was hired by Henry Flagler to be the Engineer of that train, and it now sits in a museum in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This train also had Presidential car for President Truman which he met several times. That "Presidential" Car sits in the Museum as well.
Anyway, long story short, I was dying to try this technique and was thrilled when I got this set in the mail. I did the technique (which took my breath away), jumped up and ran to the garage where my husband was doing a few things. I said: "look at this"....he said: "where did you get the old photo of Daddy Johns Train? I had to explain it was not a picture but a technique I had just tried and was so excited about. He couldn't believe it, neither could our neighbor Bill when he saw it. I actually got two guys talking stamping!!!! What a riot!
Anyway just couldn't sit on this any longer. I will be doing this at my Technique class on October 30th. let me know if you're interested in joining me to learn this fabulous technique.
You can RSVP here
Thanks for stopping by and have a ....

Wacky....Fun....Gift Card Holder

Good Morning Everyone!
I have a few customers that want some fun Gift Card Holders. I did not have this set and borrowed it from a friend.
I used Snow Burst on the Bashful Blue stamped in White. You can barely see it but it does give the card stock some texture.
I then used the Shellabrate set and did the snowman image. He is a cute little thing. The surfboard is normally plain but I added some squiggle lines and made it two tone.....just for grins. I'm trying to be fun here....what do you think? I don't think I've ever mixed these colors together before.....looked fun to me!
I couldn't resist the urge to of course add sparkle to him and the water which I felt brought the whole image to life. Hope you like it!

Crazy for (Three) Cupcakes...

Good Morning Everyone!
I had such a nice day yesterday with Phyllis' house. She had a workshop for me and it was so nice to see her and her group there.
I think they had a good time and made two projects to take home with them. I teased them about a technique class I'll be doing on the 30th and how excited I am about doing it. I'll be sharing it with you all in a few days. I can't wait!!!
In the mean time I will share a card I did the other day with "Crazy for Cupcakes". Hmmm..........I must have been hungry or something when I made this.....now that's a bunch of cupcakes! they look good enough to eat.
I hope you enjoy this little share and hope you'll be back soon. I'll be sharing my surprise "Technique"card with you in a few days.

Good Morning Everyone,

This card showcasing the "Upsy Daisy" set is for a "Birthday Bash" Camp I'll be doing soon. Every one's going to get they're hands on the Top Notes Bigz Die too! I know they are going to love the "Big Shot"! I used Whisper White for the card itself and Always Artichoke for the mat. I stamped the image in Apricot Appeal first and then removed the ink on the stems with a Blender Pen (learned that trick at convention). I then applied Always Artichoke to the stems and finished it off by using a sponge dauber to daubber on (is that a word?) the Pumpkin Pie on the edges of the flowers.

I then felt it needed a little something...so I did a little Ribbon Shredding and attached it with a Filigree and Rhinestone Brad. The ribbon I shredded was Always Artichoke and Apricot Appeal. I hope you like it.

I'm Crazy for Cupcakes!

Good Morning Everyone!

I just can't get enough of this cute set. It's so easy to work with. I used a Chocolate Chip marker to color the Cake Stand in and then used my Versamarker and went over it, added some clear embossing powder and heat set...so it's my Brown Porcelain Cake Stand"!

It looked kind of plain to me and I wished I had used my Polka Dot Background Stamp on it, but I had already put it together. So I used my Red Marker and a Versamarker for the top Kraft piece and made my own Polka Dots....I will have them use the stamp at the workshop. There is of course Dazzling Diamonds on the Frosting and the cherries are embossed as well to make them shiny.

I cased this from Roxy and added a few touches of my own.

Look What I got in the Mail!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Look what I got in the mail today! One of my customers (and friend) sent me a card she made for Halloween and said she was "just thinking of me". I love this!!!....and I love the relationships and all the good things that come from stamping.

If I were not a Demo, I would never have met Shelba. So thanks for thinking of me and bringing a smile to my face. See what the power of a Hand Stamped Card holds!

Thanks again Shelba and hope to see you soon.

Blushing Eastern Blooms

Good Morning Everyone!
First I have to say that I so enjoy all of your comments! I appreciate you all taking the time to look at my blog and to leave comments or email me.
I spoke with my friend Cheryl in Georgia last night and she said that she missed me and how much she enjoyed viewing my blog everyday. I miss her too! She was my "partner in crime" so to speak in us beginning to stamp at all. I remember when I moved and how much I missed the stamping parties with Cheryl and my other friends and how when I decided to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator she sent me a whole package of samples to show to my prospective customers. I'll never forget that!!! Thanks Cheryl for always being there!!!
Today's card features Eastern Blooms and is done in Blush Blossom, White and Chocolate Chip. This design is not mine. I saw it somewhere and for the life of me can't remember. However I changed the color from Blue to Blush....
I hope you enjoy it and if you are the originator of this design, please let me know. I'd love to give you credit.

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm still trying to get to those Birthday Cards and keep getting sidetracked with things I want to try.

This card features the "Inspired by Nature" Stamp set from Stampin' Up! #111656 and it's only $21.95! You can order this by hitting my order here button on my blog if you like and it will be shipped directly to your doorstep.

I also used More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Bravo Burgundy and Chocolate Chip Ink pads to create this. I also used the Horizontal Slit Punch #105089 to create the cattails. I think this will make a great "Manly Card" for a Birthday or Anniversary or just because. My customers are always asking for more "Manly" cards so here you go!

I will be having a Technique Class on this in my home on Thursday October 30th.....if you are interested please let me know here. I will have a morning and evening class. I promise you the second card will not disappoint....I'm saving it for a surprise or I'm trying to save it. Let's see if I succeed!!!It's very difficult for me to sit on something I love....I always want to share right away but I'm going to do my best not to spoil it.

I got the color combination from Andrea Walford....she's so talented.

Cardinal Christmas

Good Morning Everyone!
This Cardinal is just gorgeous....he is so easy to color with markers. You're going to enjoy that Stampin' Up! has worked this stamp so well that all you have to do is color with a Red Marker....it still looks shaded.See, they have done all the work for you!! Seriously he just looks like he could just jump off the page.
I used the Top Note Die from our Big Shot and cut two pieces, one in white and the other in Kiwi Kiss. I love the red with this Kiwi color, I think it's smashing! How about that matching Kiwi two sided Kiwi Ribbon? To die for!!!! I just ordered more....
So I cut the edge off the white die cut piece so I could mount it on the Kiwi and then made two holes on either side of the Cardinal's tail to thread the ribbon through. I fluffed up the ribbon a bit to get this effect and used a glue dot for each leg of the bow to keep in place.
If you would like to place an order for this Stamp set the item # is: 111760 and it's in our Holiday Mini Catalog. Feel free to go to my website here and do a little online shopping!

I hope you enjoyed my card and I appreciate you all sttopping by. See ya next time!

Faux Sea Glass

Faux Sea Glass Bracelets....the first picture is of all we made.
The second picture I decided to use my 1 3/4 punch to see how it would look in circles. This was the first bracelet I did. I used Certainly Celery for my color.
This is Amy's bracelet....she did the Rhinestone Brads and everything. So pretty in person.

Good Morning Everyone!

I spent a very pleasant day yesterday with a fellow stamper and new friend. Her name is Amy and I met her through my Personal Banker and Dear Friend Margie (Margie always tries to get me new customers). Make a long story short Amy called and said she got my name from Margie and could she come to my next stamping event.

It turns out Amy used to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator herself.

Amy is a delightful person and treated me to a day of her teaching me. I admired her bracelet done with Faux Glass and she said she would show me how. Guess who she learned from? Patty Bennett!!! I think everyone knows Patty Bennett. She said she communicated with Patty until she got this right and how helpful Patty was. That's our Patty!

Anyway here are my two bracelets and Amy's four......I think we did pretty darn good.

Amy did all the leg work and brought all the supplies and it was great. We had fun figuring out colors and combinations and what would go where.

Thanks for a great day Amy! Hope to see you soon!

Beautiful Borders Christmas

Good Morning Everyone!
I thought I would try something a little different, but still keep it simple. That's my new motto you know...."keep it simple"!
I used Very Vanilla Card Stock for the base. used a strip of Burgundy and stamped the gorgeous border from "Beautiful Border's " on it in Burgundy and set it aside. I then took a scrap of Brushed Gold and used my Scallop Edge Punch on that and placed it behind my Burgundy piece. I think it gives it a pretty wonderful look, nice and finished. The swirls are from: "Season of Joy" and the wording on the front of the card is from: "Many Merry Messages". I will stamp Merry Christmas on the inside. I tied some great Burgundy Grosgrain around it and there you are! Easy-Peasy!
Thanks for stopping by and if you should need any of these supplies to duplicate this card, just go on over to my website here. We have online ordering now and it's so easy. Just click on "Shop Now" under my name.

A Little Hint of Color

Hi Everyone,
I'm late in posting today....I've been so busy. I've had this card in my head for awhile and just got to it.
It's yet another simple card, but I think Elegant.
I used the "Seeing Spots" Brass Template to dry emboss around the edges of the card. I wanted to keep it simple as not to take aways from the beauty of that.
As I sat here doing that I remembered something we learned at convention and that was to remove color form a stamp with your Blender Pen. So that I did, but just to the wreath. I then markered that in with my Handsome Hunter marker. It's just the right touch of color. I did a similar version of this card using the Cracked Glass technique at a recent class and as I was teaching it I was telling everyone I should have done the door "Red". Well they all did they're doors red and it was awesome. You know those pictures that are out there that are black and white with just a hint of color...well that's what I was thinking on both counts here, yet this is even more subtle.
Card stock used is Very Vanilla, and Basic Gray. I used the Basic Gray Ink Pad as well.
I had to give the snow a lift by adding some Dazzling Diamonds to my snow covered areas with my two-way glue pen.
That's it for today, I hope you enjoy my little creation.
I hope you all have a Stampinglee Good Day!

He's the Man! Snowman that is.....

Good Morning Everyone!
Happy World Card Making Day to all of you Stamping Enthusiasts.
Here's a little card I did with Stampin' Up!s "Banbury Designer Series Paper.
I have used the little Snowman from the "Punch Pals" set and decided to give him a new look. He's been wearing that same black hat for years and needed a change....at least for today. hehe!
I think he looks kind of cute in his Certainly Celery Hat, don't you?
I am loving this "Banbury" Designer Paper, so fresh and clean looking.
That's it for now. I've got to finish getting ready for an event I'm doing tomorrow. It's at the Garden Club of Jacksonville and it's called:
Mix n' Mingle
(a sassy, casual shopping experience)
1005 Riverside Ave.
Jacksonville, Florida
Admission $10
It's going to be a beautiful event with over 30 Vendors, music and they will have it catered. You will even be able to walk through some of the fabulous gardens. So stop on by and say hello if you're in the neighborhood.

Crazy For Cupcakes...

Good Morning Everyone!
I will be showcasing this set this month to coincide with Stampin' Up!s Special.
I have used the Pink Pirouette Card Sotck along with Close to Cocoa and Shisper White.
I also used a bit of the new DSP "Banbury. I just love the pink and green together along with the browns.
I colored the cupcakes with my Aqua Painter (also on special this month) and re-inkers. I love coloring that way! I added a piece of Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain to break it up a bit.
I also used my "Cryasta Effects on the cherries and on the Cupcake Plate....looks like porcelain, doesn't it? I coulen't let go of this card until I added some Diamonds....gotta have sparkle!!!
I hope you enjoy it....thanks for visiting and........

Pretty Vases

Good Morning Everyone!

I have to share two vases cards with you...

The card on the left I did when Artfully Asian was still current. I did a technique class with it. I may have shared that before, I'm not sure.
Look at the card on the right.....this card was made by one of my customer's (Nicole) who attended that class. Isn't she awesome? She did not have the large oval punch so she hand cut the vases on hers. Talk about talent!!!!
I just love it when somebody comes to a class and walks away with a little bit of what I've taught. I love to see them using the techniques and taking it to the next level......it's the best part of my job!
Thanks for sharing it with me Nicole and I hope you don't mind if I share it with a few people here!
Thanks for stopping by and have a ........

White Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Good Morning Everyone!
Well here it is.....my First Stamp-a-Stack of the Season. I've decided to make it a "White Christmas" Stamp-a-Stack.
My customers want EASY and DUPLICATABLE!!! So that's what I'm doing.
I learned my lesson the first year I was a Demonstrator and would have 16-17 cuts or layers on a card.....not only did it frustrate them it cost more postage!! So EASY it is!

We will be making these four designs and doing three of each.
I will be doing this on Friday the 10th from 10am-2pm and again on Saturday the 11th from 11am-4pm. You might want to reserve your spot early. These Stamp-a-Stacks are always popular, as everyone wants to get a start on they're Christmas Cards!
Please email me here to RSVP. Please do so by Wednesday, October 7th so that I will have time to prepare.
I hope you enjoy my simple little creations!
